Watched the first four episodes last night. It’s entertaining enough. It’s kind of like Peacemaker light.
So, like I said I watched four episodes last night and was definitely entertained. Obviously it is ridiculous, but from what I've read it is much truer to the books. I mean a 6'2" 230lb guy is obviously a lot closer than 5'6" Tom Cruise which was ridiculous. Ritchson is doing a decent job for sure. At times I hear Hawk from Titans, but that can't be helped. He comes off like a less funny John Cena in the role to me. I like the back and forth between him and Finley and Roscoe. I thought it was pretty ironic when Finlay said your 6'4"...and he was like details matter, I am 6'5", when actually he is only 6'2". Apparently they intentionally picked smaller supporting characters to make him look bigger and it definitely works. In general, it's just an easy watch for anyone who liked action, fighting, silly one liners, and a generic corrupt town, small group against the establishment storyline. I would give it a 7.5 so far.
Lots of ebb and flows of enjoyment. A bit too gimmicky in some spots. Overall, not bad. Spoiler KJ as the final boss sucked ass though
BMS was the perfect show in college. I’m sure it doesn’t hold up at all, but drunk college CF loved that show.
Think it’s great for what it’s supposed to be. Good balance of plot, action and character development.
Im a huge fan of the books. A few minor quibbles about the guy playing Reacher. But overall they did a good job. Its not suppose to be anything earth shattering. Just a mindless fun action/detective story
Reacher’s I know more than you look is the same as Thad’s confused look. It’s throwing me off every time.
This is the first thing I’ve seen the actor in. He’s too clean/handsome/ put together. Book Reacher is a little more rugged and rough around the edges. He’s also incredibly dry and sarcastic. I dont think the actor pulls that off too well. Those are really my only criticisms. And as I said pretty minor. And infinity better than Tom Cruise
This show is surprisingly good. It's about as good as any show I've watched that is currently airing.
It's a really solid Paint by numbers action mystery. Some of the twists were pretty easy to see coming, but it was still really enjoyable. Also, sup roscoe It feels like early years 24 before it got way over the top.
Just started it and enjoying it so far. Tough to not envision him as Thad but after an episode I was able to get over it.
just re-watched BMS in the background while working the last couple days. A lot of it does not hold up but a good amount does. Season 3 is really bad and everything after the opening of Thadland is unwatchable. NilesIrish
I would have thought production would have been finished prior to the strike and if it wasn't entirely done I think the strike wouldn't have impacted it if they can release it in December.
I binged this show this week while trying to find a new show. Really enjoyed it. I thought season 2 was already out since it had a section for season 2 already. It’s not. Sad! Looking forward to more Thad.
This show keeps getting better and better. I've been looking forward to S2 for awhile and it's been great. Hopefully it has a really long run.
