Talk to me about patio furniture. Yardbird stuff looks great but wayyy too pricey. Are there other brands or materials that you guys like?
Looked there and they have some great options. One tip when shopping for any furniture, unless it’s something insanely high end or specialty brand like say lovesac do a reverse google image search on the product image. We would find outdoor sets on wayfair or something, reverse image search then find the exact same set at homedepot/Amazon for 30-40% less.
https://www.jensenoutdoor.com/ All of our patio furniture is from here. Ipe wood is awesome in our local climate and Jensen says they are responsible with their harvesting techniques, but if sustainable practices matter to you then definitely research it.
We went with Yardbird. Probably $3500 all in, inclusive of covers. sofa, 2 chairs, table and end table. Would buy again, but they were acquired by Best Buy who now puts the items on sale occasionally. The sales person at Yardbird said they don't do sales, so it was dumb when I saw them ~20% off six months after we received them.
I actually just got this from the girlfriend. It is the coolest toy ever made. https://www.robosen.com/us/
My post a few posts up from Saturday with the amp and preamp completes the setup. KEF LS50 Meta (plus the stands). Project Debut Carbon EVO Project Phono Box DC Cambridge Audio CXA81 Speakers and cables get here Saturday. Everything else is setup. Muy excited
Outside of it being for sound, I don’t know what any of this is or why I would need it, but it seems cool, and I’m assuming incredibly expensive.
They’re the components of an above entry level turntable setup. An amplifier, preamp, speakers, and turntable. It’s so you can crank the jazz music real loud and bliss out while shitposting
Got a great deal on this portable Traeger from a guy that won it in a raffle. Excited to be able to take it to lake/beach.
I’m looking at the r7 meta / r6 meta for my LCR set up in the living room. Going to wait for a sale though.
Looking for a cheap, barebones laptop just web browsing. Do we have a thread for that? Has anyone bought one in the past year or so?
If just browsing I’d recommend an iPad or tablet. Think mine is going on 9 years and still works like the day I bought it.
Just set up a refurbished MacBook Air for this yesterday. It was like $400. So cheap and it'll last forever. My last MacBook Pro lasted 8 years.
