It's good to hear Sturgill's voice after his throat issues. Hopefully he's feeling up for live shows at some point
Sturgill’s and Tyler’s arena tour was most likely their retirement fund and now they will just play what and when they want
Pretty sure the Atlanta show was the last fun thing I did for about a year. World went to shit right after.
I've pretty much accepted that we'll be lucky if we ever get anything new from Sturgill. Then again, I'm pretty surprised we're getting a new Childers album out of the blue like this.
I'm so glad I was irresponsible and went to the tour opener in Birmingham and in Knoxville the next week, even though I had both nights in Nashville at the back end of the tour. Oh wait. What's that? You didn't go to Birmingham and/ or Knoxville. Wow man. Sucks to suck.
Was supposed to see Childers at ACL Live (for a recorded concert) then two days later Sturgill and Childers in Austin and then again in Dallas the next night. Was completely unnecessary and overloaded, but a combo of work tickets, GF surprise and my surprise resulted in this. I was stressed that we were overdoing it. Then the world shut down like 4 days before the first show. Still think about it given Sturgill will probably never play Sound and Fury cover to cover again and Childers won’t play most of my favorite songs of his. Would have been awesome.
I just want him to tour so I can finally see him live. A full show live that is, I've seen him at the opry once.
Wife is listening to Sturgill and Tyler Childers while she's meal prepping for the week and it's reminding me of the COVID-canceled concert at the Gorge that I missed for these two. I'm still pissed.
I saw them in Charleston which was the last show before they shut it down. It was wild because around 1/3 of the audience left after Childers played.
People were so pissed off he “wasn’t country anymore” and hated Sound and Fury. It was such a good show. I never realized just how good he was on guitar until that concert.
Yep was at the atlanta show too. Everyone was sitting for sturgill and he still proceeded to tear the roof off the building
This was halfway through his first song. We had floor seats toward the rear and ended up 2nd row. I’m pretty sure the show was sold out.
