The kid came out Chinese and downy and Lip got all pissy about it. Karen said something along the lines of "I had sex with (insert chinks name here) as much as you. I never said the kid was yours, you just wanted it to be."

Tommy Wong Just watched it. Holy fuck I really love this show. Pretty much all my thoughts about the episode have been posted. I don't mind the depressing moments, I think it makes it more of a complete show and really shows how great of a job the writers are doing that they can make it work so well.
Shameless and Californication are my top two shows currently. Both seasons have been great. Shameless sucks you in and then drops some heavy shit. Good stuff
So did the kid have downs or is he just Asian? I thought they originally said he had downs because they still thought it was Lips, but then they realized he was just Asian.
I'm kinda sure they also bounced because it was Asian. Remember the wanted a white baby that was why they wanted to pay her for the baby. I'm sure the downy stuff scared them the most tho, but i'm pretty sure they would bail it was a normal asian kid.
Should email the producers and tell them next time find a real asian baby with downs syndrome whose parents want to put them on TV.
halfway through the new episode but if lip hasnt wised up about karen yet then he's absolutely fucked. i thought last episode would be the catalyst for lip realizing he couldnt be an idiot with his life anymore but it's not looking like it's the case.
also i thought steve/jimmy had a fiance last season when we saw him go home. what happened with that?

If they can basically get rid of Karen and greatly reduce Frank I'll be happy. If Rossum doesn't win an Emmy for her work this season it will be a huge error, she has been incredible. Deb killed me in a few scenes, girl is a great little actress. Going to suck waiting 8-9 months for another episode.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who wants to see Karen disappear. Unlike Karen though, I think Frank is a necessary evil for the show. He needs to be around for the show to work because otherwise shit would start to seem too close to normal, especially with a solid male figure around now.
How did Sheila go from being scared back into the house by the airplane wheel to going to the hospital and riding out of it on a motorcycle carrying a baby? Pretty big plot hole there.
I think it's understandable given the situation of her daughter having a baby, but they should've touched on it briefly.

In the first season I liked the Frank/Sheila dynamic but didn't really feel any certain way about her character, but you're right she actually became her own character and a character that I like during the second season. I was like when she chose the baby over Karen. I liked Karen in season 1 and felt bad for her at the end because of the shit with her dad, and I kept wanting her to come around this season but she never did. Fuck her.
Great finale and season. Karl came on strong at the end. He slays me. The whole thing with him getting the gun last week was hilarious and him asking Jimmy/Steve/Stimmy about order dinner was great.
