That seems like the likely guess. Can't say that upsets me. As much as Frank has done some bad shit in other episodes, this past episode really just made everyone hit rock bottom based upon what they did with the money. It was depressing (in a good way), but tough to take.
Kevin is hilarious lately and I agree with the above poster about Carl... Kids funny. Frank Steve needs to hurry up and get in with Fiona.
Made me throw up in my mouth a little bit. I wish that family was more like the one they are based off of in the UK version.
The UK version? Personally I love it, possibly more than the one on Showtime. The first 5 seasons are on Netflix if you have that. They are currently in season 9, and still running.
His facial expression when the woman is singing "C sounds like sssssssss" is incredible. I watch that clip 3-4 times in a row every time I come across it now.
sorry if this has already been answered on another page... but thats not the same mandy from last season is it? seemed like the chick in the first season was hotter than the one now.
I definitely thought Mandy's was Lip's kid and Karen's wasn't. That was a major moment when she told him about the dad. The kids throwing an abortion fundraiser at the bar is a perfect microcosm of what makes the show great.
They are still lowlifes like in the US version but it is done a little more lightheartedly. They have more kids than in the US version and run the local drug trade. The father and mother are all about their family. The father would certainly never have sex with his daughter, "mistakenly" or not. If you like the version on Showtime you would also really like the original. The US version pretty much mirrors the beginning of the UK series but they eventually take the characters in different directions. Like I said earlier the first 5 seasons are on Netflix. Kind of a spoiler if you plan on watching the UK version Spoiler The same situation happens with Mandy covering for Ian being gay, and she also has sex with Lip and gets pregnant. In the UK version the child actually is Lip's, and they keep it.
For fucks sake this shit has been way too depressing lately. Awful vagina shot during the pregnancy as well, no way that ass was believable as Karen's.
first the goddamn holy throat and then the fucking dilated puss what the fuck man good episode though
Haven't seen the new episode yet, but it's amazing the range of emotions this show can touch. Can make you laugh one second then feel bad the next.
Well that was some brutal stuff. The vag shot was probably not the hardest thing to watch either. Hopefully Lip doesn't spiral further and instead comes back in some, but doubt that will happen on this show.
Bald eagle was hilarious...saw monica coming but was still sad. Felt bad for Lip not getting the kid he wanted. Another great episode.
Just finished tonight's episode and what in the actual fuck... as others have said, hilarious one moment, depressing as ever the next. Liked the song at the end, looked up some of the lyrics and it's Tired Pony - Get on the Road. I thought initially it sounded like Snow Patrol and now I know why... same lead singer. Female vocals provided by none other than Zooey Deschanel.
Holy god at that last episode. Hilarious and yet so fucking depressing. Such a great show. Scences with Marco and Bald Eagle scenes killed me.
Yeah the spam turkey kind of annoyed me, turkey isn't exactly fucking caviar when it comes to price. I have never eaten/bought spam but I have a hard time believing that 20 cans of it was a huge cost savings vs. a turkey. They bought everything else they needed for the meal, but not the fucking turkey? I don't know why but that whole sequence just annoyed me. As did Carl/Little Hank being fucking sharpshooters and carrying around sniper rifles and sub-machine guns.
not to mention Steve dropped a monster turkey that was frozen solid on the counter and it was thawed out and cooked in a few hours.
Yeah, also Carl threw away what looked like a good amount of drugs when he got the gun. Growing up in that household there is no way he tosses the fucking drugs. They could have sold them and made back more than what Monica took from the "squirrel fund" and bought as many turkeys as they damn well pleased.
yeah the mix of emotional spectrum of this show is intense. The last scene of last episode with Fiona yelling at her and kicking the washing machine was just like woah. Saw the Monica thing coming but got damn at how they did it.
Fuck, this show is so good. So many characters, yet none of them seem unnecessary, and they're all incredibly well written/acted.
We actually had a thread on them when the album came out. There was an argument over whether there can be such a term as an indie super group. It was a good album overall. Also featured performers from Editors R.E.M., And belle & Sebastian.
he has been funny in the small role he has. great writing to have so many characters contribute to the story. don't like the dark direction it's heading with this last episode but know it's kind of part of the deal with this family and their surroundings
