Offense looks like they have never played together before. It starts up front. We let go of proven guards and now their backups are getting destroyed. Hell, even Kelce has been off his game. I don't know if Bradford's poor play has to do with just the interior of the line being garbage or him. He's looked indecisive on a bunch of throws, but I have to think some of that is due to him mentally worried about getting crushed behind that line if he doesn't throw it quick enough. Can't blame Demarco or the RBs. I wish we would line up under center more and run some power to help get Demarco going though. All of this pulling with the guards on runs fucked us big time this week. We didn't look like we knew what we were doing and Dallas (Sean Lee in particular) were just darting right through the alleys. Front seven is solid, but if Kiko and/or Kendricks is out for a while then we could be in big trouble. We have no answer at corner. Don't know what you do there. Maxwell plays like he's afraid of contact.
it's just such a shock after how they looked in the preseason. The O line is a mess On the D we are getting little pass rush and the secondary looks just as bad as last year
My favorite stats of the day are Murray's 21 rushes for 11 yards and Byron Maxwell being thrown at 19 times and allowing 15 comp, 240 yds, 2 TD, 158.3 (perfect) QB rating.
I'm not even that confident in the next two weeks on the road at the Jets and at Washington. They really need to get shit corrected because the remaining games before the bye week are very reasonable in terms of opponents. Hell, almost all the games until December (save Dallas) could be against middle of the pack or worse teams. I just hope they don't squander that chance to rebound because the last month or so of the season is shaping up to be tough from the early looks.
FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo reports there's a "possibility" Eagles ILB Kiko Alonso (knee) will miss the rest of the season. Last night, it wasn't believed to be bad: Source said #Eagles LB Kiko Alonso does NOT think he has ACL injury. MRI Monday. Shall see.
The Philadephia Daily News' Les Bowen reported Eagles ILB Kiko Alonso has a Grade 2 sprain of his left ACL. If the report is accurate, the injury will sideline Alonso at least a couple weeks, but it is not the season-ending injury the Eagles feared. The left ACL is the same one which cost Alonso the entire 2014 season. Even if it is just a sprain, Philadelphia will likely be exceedingly cautious with his recovery.
I know you are probably quoting, but Les is an asshole. A sprain is a tear no matter what. 1 is a stretched out but ligaments tear to stretch. 2 is partial tear and stretched but still in tact. Grade 3 was his 2014 season, completely ripped.
Just now from more reliable source... NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Eagles ILB Kiko Alonso (knee) could still be facing a season-ending injury. Rapoport confirmed the diagnosis of a partially torn ACL, or Grade 2 sprain, but said Alonso will get a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews to determine if he needs surgery. If he undergoes surgery, Alonso's season would be over. Considering the issues Alonso has had coming back from the torn ACL he suffered in the same knee in 2014, surgery and another year of rehab may be the best option.
Yeah if it's ripped enough, he's done. Regardless, I cant see a scenario where they dont put him on the IR. Done at least 8 weeks.
Fucking christ Eagles placed RG Andrew Gardner (foot) on injured reserve. Gardner injured his foot in the Week 3 win over the Jets and was spotted in a walking boot following the game. Gardner had played well through three weeks after easily beating out Matt Tobin in camp. Tobin will now take over at right guard, making the already suspect Eagles' offensive line even worse. OL Julian Vandervelde was signed in a corresponding move. Also Parkey to IR, but he was looking suspect anyway this year. Kiko getting second opinion on his knee.
Gee Chip, see what happens to your depth when you cut two starters and don't draft/sign any replacements? Last two offseasons have been complete and total disasters.
In terms of offensive line I agree. I don't think they've moved backwards as much as I thought they would have at QB/WR, and the defense has looked improved versus last year.
They've lost two games by a combined 12 points. They're massively disappointing when weighed against our expectation, but I think that's why we're conditioned to not have many to begin with. Going to have to go week by week and rattle off the wins. Spoiler Wish we had MM.
If you are bored today, start at 8:50 unless you want to listen to Hurricane talk and DeSean's status. What's wrong with the offense is the topic. http://esnradio.podbean.com/e/esn-r...her-preview-eagles-redskins-with-adam-caplan/
Burn it to the fucking ground. Can't even line up correctly, costing a td. Then they proceed to go backwards and miss another chip shot fucking field goal. Fuck you Chip you can get fucked you fucking arrogant asshat.
Shitty fucking offense can't move the ball an inch. Glad you went out and made the move for this fucking moron at quarterback, looks like a deer in headlights on every drop back. Bring in Sanchez.
I don't even get mad at this team anymore. I just kind of sigh. Maybe it helps that the Gators are actually playing well or something, but my expectations have severely dropped for this Eagles team that now it takes a lot to really piss me off.
I've seen more passes travel 20 plus yards in the air today than all of the first three games combined (oh and actually be caught)
Bryon Maxwell on the sideline with his helmet off? That's a good look for him. Fuck you buddy. How Bradford is escaping some of this pressure is quite amazing.
I'm not 100% sure how they are going to let us down but I'm excited to see what they come up with this time.
I've seen him a million times, but every time I see him I just say to myself, damn Duce (Staley) is so fucking fat
Officiating in this league is just a mockery, I'm done with the NFL. That and this team being fucking awful make it impossible to enjoy. Might as well make it flag football and call it a day you fucking pussies.
Jordan Matthews and Darren Sproles can go practice on a juggs machine for the next 7 fucking days too, huge drops on big 3rd downs. Fucking bums.
I am so let down by this team, and only see it getting worse. This year is a huge step back. Foles was so much better at running this mess
