some of the younger guys could probably give you a better answer on what the best bar scene is, but the first thing that popped into my head was National Mechanics on 3rd St. nothing special as a bar but the building is like 200 years old and has been used as both a bank and church at times. kinda cool to check out.
You could easily get 7 miles running through the streets of Haddonfield with lots of hills and not get bored. If you run around Tavistock CC you can see the house Trea Turner just bought (it's on the corner of Warwick Rd across from the club). Harper, Schwarber, Sirriani and like every Flyer live throughout the town although Harper is building a monster in Moorestown. Cooper Lake Park is fine but boring to run for me, that was part of our XC training runs in HS I am so insanely jealous you are getting Angelo's right now you might have forced me to buy a plane ticket and fly home for a weekend shortly
Angelos was delicious. Although I’m not sure I’d be eating cheesesteaks regularly in my life if I lived in Philly, it was clearly top notch
It’s really nice out so go sit outside at Independence Beer Garden. Otherwise, Khyber Pass Pub and Euology Belgian Tavern will both make you very happy.
Yeah, that’s not something one should eat on any regular basis over the age of 26. Do you have a dinner reservation somewhere?
Tonight starts our wedding obligations. We might be able to sneak it a Philly breakfast/lunch tomorrow after our run, that’s about it
The jersey family at this brewery tells me I got try the hoagies they brought from this nearby pizzeria “since I’m in jersey” Tell them I went to Angelo’s today. They don’t know it. olds.
funny thing is Angelo’s was in Haddonfield before they got their spot in the city. food has gone to another level since they moved to be fair.
I get the feeling these ppl from gibbsboro don’t get out much. I enjoyed walking around Philly today. And that’s not even going to I’m sure what would be considered the good / cool areas of town
Heading to the Linc for the EPL doubleheader in a week. Best place to park? Should I buy the prepaid parking that they’re selling with the tickets?
there are a million lots surrounding the area. I would just avoid Wells Fargo. what way would you be going home? Walt Whitman?
Phillies are away so I’d probably park in one of the Phillies lots of Darien or 10th if you don’t mind walking a bit it will be a much easier exit. if you park in the Linc (K) lot, I would shoot right down Pattinson to 95. Phillies lots will make it easier to get on Walt Whitman.
