We destroyed our wine stash last night. Now I'm having to hit my water stash to fix the hangover. I played myself
I accidentally bought a green Gatorade in preparation for this so when I was hungover Saturday morning I was pissed. Lemon-lime-strawberry. Eww
I'm on W 22nd. Just been following the white oak and Ella details here https://www.harriscountyfws.org/
Guess I should have specified, the east part of downtown near GRB is fine. Saw some gnarly video from main st
We've had a pretty long break so we walked around. There were so many people out. I guess looking for whatever is open but we didn't see anything. According to the interwebz, Lupe Tortilla and it's God-tier fajitas is open but I'm not giving up my parking spot. I'll save you guys a trip and disappointment... Torchys on Shepherd is closed.
The Valero gas station on westheimer and montrose was open a couple of hours ago. Plenty of beer and snack food. But yeah I didn't see anything else during my walk around earlier.
Not that its of any use to anybody now, but maybe for tomorrow: the donut/kolache place by Hughies in the Heights (18th and TC Jester I think?) was open this morning. Was a godsend for my hangover.
You can't get across TC Jester right there (or anywhere really). I'm not really sure how I got from that area back to Montrose. Took me about an hour of trying different routes, but somehow I wound up on Washington north of I10 and very smoothly got to Shepard and then turned on Dallas. Edit: Snapchat actually saved me. I saw some chick post a video of the Bayou at Shepard and saw cars driving on Shepard over, so I knew if I could get to Shepard I could get home. The Geomap function was clutch last night as well. Basically used it to get someone home from a wedding reception they were stuck at. Side note: What kind of selfish fuck do you have to be to not postpone your wedding for something like this?
All - I posted this in the hurricane general thread but I fell compelled to post it here. For the few that know me in real life, I enjoy working at one of the best Plaintiff's firms in the country located in Houston. Those people can vouch for me. If you need to file a claim due to property damage etc, DO NOT hire a lawyer that knocks on your door, leaves something in your mailbox or yells on TV about insurance companies. The new September 1st laws and regulations concerning filing a lawsuit are EXTREMELY difficult to navigate and you need competent counsel. There are sensitive deadlines you must meet. There is potential for being sued in federal court if done incorrectly. PLEASE contact me if you need an attorney. I do not practice insurance law but I know several very competent lawyers that do. I am not interested in representing you but I am interested in making sure you get good representation. I feel like this is one of the few ways that I can help and I would be more than happy to help anyone on here.
I am not a lawyer but I do have seven years in the industry and five years in catastrophe claims and I can help with any general insurance claim process questions or minor non-lawyery issues that pop up. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions at all And above all be safe bros
