It seems it is a very common flag in Europe, i think is the flag of the city of Milan as well.

I originally thought it was his shield, but looked it up on wikipedia and it said the red cross on white background is considered the cross of Saint George.

Two main things to take away from that game...

    1. How much Milan is inept without Pato in the attack. Need Ibra
    2. Barca looked a little disorganized without Xavi on the pitch. Very dangerous, but lacking that final ball.

What a finish by Inzaghi. Easily one of my favorite players of all time. I really hope he scores a few in the CL this year in order to pass that faggit Raul.

Haven't watched the game, but it sounds like Barcelona welcomed Ronaldinho back in the way he deserves, so I really respect that.

Seeing the cheers that Ronaldinho got on his sub out were :tebow: worthy.

Wasn't able to watch most of the game due to work, but it looked like Barca were starting to lay it on pretty heavy towards the end.

It did sound like Barcelona was all over Milan at the end, but I can't imagine either team had many starters in at that point (Milan has their first league game this Sunday).

Re: Official FC Barcelona thread: Welcome back Ronaldinho

Actually Barca started the game with there "b" (if you call them that. So fucking deep) and then subbed Pique, Messi and a bunch of starter in the game at or around the 60 min mark.

Once again Milan looked better once we subbed out Borriello, Huntaleer, Ambrosini. The young kids are not proven but play smart and with heart. Otamundi played well and so did Boateng. He was very impressive. And that Cunt Puyol spiked him. Fag.

Anyways the goal was scored with Milan B team vs Barca A team. But at the end of the game Milan were clinging on for there life.

Re: Official FC Barcelona thread: Welcome back Ronaldinho

Yeah, Barca started with essentially 4 starters. Only Puyol, Abidal, Iniesta and Villa.

Subs started coming at half, but still subbed on some reserves in Bojan, Thiago, and Fontas (last two were with Barca B last year).

It was definitely very close to a Barca A team by the end of the game...no Xavi appearance though. I was impressed with how our youth team played against them. Roma (GK) also looked really good yesterday

    Barca has unreal depth.

I love Dos Santos. I know Milan have been trying to get this kid.

    Barca fans are spoiled. lol

I agree Roma had a good game.

Problem with Milan is that Abate and Luca are not very good at LB/RB
They got raped by Barca's A team in the second half

If we don't get Mascherano, Guardiola wants to start cross training both Dos Santos and Keita as more of holding mids.

Yeah that first goal was completely on Abate...Bonera actually looked serviceable in defense on the right but gives you nothing going forward. Antonini was ok...not good, really not terrible either.
Silva and Nesta looked :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

I don't understand why we're apparently so opposed to role players. Is there any way Mascherano could be called on to play a CB role in a pinch like Yaya would sometimes do?

Re: Official FC Barcelona thread: Welcome back Ronaldinho

Might actually be better if he's able to fill on for Abidal then. Puyol's flexibility should help find a role for Mascherano if there's injury problems in the backline.

Adriano seems like more of a replacement for Alves, so it could be that Mascherano would be ahead of Maxwell and Milito (both worthless) for the Abidal :idk:

When Abidal's injured? Hopefully. That front 6 is downright nasty though, even if Iniesta gets injured there's not really a dropoff (might even be a slight upgrade) with Keita.

Then you could have Bojan off the bench for, most likely, Pedro.

Didn't break his leg but got part of my wish of Xavi getting injured.

I support VV as the best goalie in club play in Spain but he can't top Iker for Spain.

Re: Official FC Barcelona thread: Welcome back Ronaldinho

I wasn't. Casillas is unbelievable for Spain but I think Valdes had a much better club year last year. He made some unbelievable saves all year and doesn't make questionable desicions like Iker sometimes.

He looked like Iker on that penalty save. Had the over 3, save cost me a couple hundred bucks but still got a push.

Decent performance for the start of the season. Villa needs to stay onsides more.

Weird starting lineup. Pique/Maxwell is obviously just this game, but I really hope Iniesta doesn't take Pedro's time.

For the next 10 days

Along with players from the club’s B team, Guardiola will have José Manuel Pinto, Maxwell, Adriano, Éric Abidal and Seydou Keita to work with.

We're going to be missing 14 players to international obligations.
