I also just learned from Wiki that Gillian Jacobs is a "teetotaler" ie doesn't drink at all. Pretty ironic given her character in this show!!!!
Looking forward to season 3. I've seen a lot of shows at the two UCB spots here in L.A. and whenever Paul Rust is on stage he consistently gets the biggest laughs. Dude can crack up a room.
Finished it last night. On par with the other seasons imo. Enjoyed it. Felt maybe a tad rushed due to it being the last season.
She was fucking great this season. All of those little facial expressions and moments where she gets that she's being used and still manages to take something for herself... That march through the studio lot where she's flipping her switch on and off to deal with the fans was terrific.
I've now made it through 2 more eps which were both much better than the first. I think my favorite parts of the show are Gus and Mickey's jobs, not their relationship with each other
Got 2 eps left now. I swear I don't gaf about Gus and mickeys relationship and I wish this was just a show about making movies and tv series in LA
I dig this show. Love Bertie. Realized that dudes husband was or is the lead singer from the Eels. Sorry if that's been discussed
I didn't realize this show had such a following on the TV Board. I finished this series in a month after a few friends of mine recommend (Both of them didn't realize the 3rd season was the last). I feel like this series portrayed modern American love for ppl in their late 20's-early 30's pretty accurately. However, the roommate and friendship interactions in this show come off unrealistic (Ex: you took my t-shirt and I'm trying to express nicely that I'm not happy about it, wtf you're 30 years old you can't even tell your roommate 'plz don't take my clothes?) I had a love-hate relationship with both lead characters throughout watching this series. Gus's inability to express himself and/or not offend Mickey while she was sick during S3E4 was ridiculous. As well as Mickey being a busybody at the wedding they attended later in season three. Overall, I liked this series and thought that it was filmed and edited perfectly. Apatow seemed to wrap this series up perfectly without giving us filler episodes (Which is something network tv could definitely learn from streaming series...I'm looking at you HIMYM).
Finally getting around to watching season 3. The Bertie Birthday episode is just lovely. Gillian Jacobs in that wedding episode
JFC how stupid can Gus be? Doesn't tell Mickey he used to date, live with, and was also engaged to Sarah?
