Probably for the best. I can't deal with Vanessa's facial expressions anymore. I'm trying to think of what they haven't been sued for yet.
Just caught up, so this season had someone commit sexual assault and a woman that’s an actual stalker (Lydia) good job producers
Both weddings went as I expected. Stacy all time worst. Her sisters clearly hate her and daddy I think is tired of spoiling her with his oil money.
Something about Chris and Johnnie makes me believe they could hide a body and have a death pack. Izzy quickly went back to his ho phase post Stacey.
I think I sort of knew the timeline, but hearing that filming wrapped on the season a year and a half ago is kind of crazy. Was this filmed before season 4? Otherwise, the reunion went about as I expected. Stacy still seems terrible and it was an awful match with Izzy. Not shocking at all that Izzy would make out with Johnnie (or anyone lol). I am a bit shocked that Stacy has been with someone, curious to know what that dynamic is. Milton and Lydia being together still seems on point, I am guessing she will do just about anything to keep him. Also, Milton came across very impressively on the reunion, just seems to be extremely smart and wise for his age. The timeline of Chris and his (now) GF seem to be a bit strange. Although I guess its possible that it was with someone he had some form of relationship with before filming and came back and re-engaged. Still interesting. Taylor went after JP with some vengeance, which good for her, JP took it like a champ. Aaliyha really came in strong and seemed pissed off. I understand that her experience was sort of ruined but thats just how it played out. She got a chance at dating Uche after filming, so there was still a connection. Lastly, Uche seems like a terrible person so I think she dodged a bullet.
Stacy definitely with some old rich guy. Milton is awesome. Uche is the worst and a coward. Wish they explained the Lydia uche producer deal earlier. Makes a lot more sense.
It does and it doesn't. She still fucked up Aaliyah's entire game (For the best) by telling her every detail about Uche in the pods.
Pretty surprised that nothing was said about Izzy basically calling out Stacey's type immediately after she said no.
I just mean why they didn't tell anyone or even us an audience. Seeing the clips back you could see the stress of that secret killing her though.
Through 5 eps now Clay is a walking red flag and I don't trust his "transformation" one bit. I overall like most of these people and think it's a strong potential season but damn like everyone has a dead dad.
Finishing up Ep 4 right now, at this point it’s looking like Jimmy missed out on one of the biggest upsets in show history lol
Favorite moment so far is Chelsea acting like she couldn’t remember who Megan Fox was. “People say I look like ummm MGK’s wife or whatever?”
So I finally caught up on this season last night (haven’t read y’all’s post yet. Just want to word vomit right now). They really went hard with the Christian values play for this season. I get that location plays a strong role in the pool of people you get. But this season seems like they have different shades of the same folks. Outside of the one interracial couple you really don’t have anyone pushing boundaries. Chelsea/Jimmy: it’s very clear that Jimmy regretted his decision to go with Chelsea from the jump. That whole “I look like Megan Fox” deal played with dudes head. On the honeymoon he’s clearly talking in code and doesn’t want to really tell her that she isn’t his type (Ex. Saying that her tattoos and piercings are an issue). AD/Clay: Classic case of I want to be reality tv famous so I’ll shack up with anyone. AD talks about how theory changed her life and if that’s truly the case then Clay would be a screaming red light. Dude openly said he doesn’t know the process of getting married, blatantly asked about physical appearance in the pod, and said that she wasn’t allowed to get fat while being pregnant. Also, the whole “black love” thing just annoys me because he’s clearly playing her to get in bed with her. Jeremy/Laura: Nothing too critical to say here. Something about Jeremy seems pretty off to me but I can’t put my finger on it. The whole thing about “bean dip” is just drunken stupidness imo. He’s clearly going to be more into Sarah Ann when the time comes. I would need to unpack Sarah’s “I’m a true patriot” comment in the pods. Brittany/Kenneth: highly curious how this one goes. Everything going back to religion isn’t my cup of tea, but maybe that will help them navigate the interracial relationship aspect on their own terms. Johnny/Amy: no notes here. I feel like we know very little about Johnny.
I like him. I think he was more real at the end of the pods than the beginning (Guys gotta stop leaning on The Notebook being their go-route when it comes to love stories). Also, I don’t know who needs to hear this but wearing ankle socks with oxfords/dress shoes is not a good look and never will be.
I think Jeramy is just a pretty weird/annoying guy I actually like Jimmy. He kinda got screwed. Of course he’s gonna pick a girl who says she gets mistaken for Megan Fox over a chick with a 10 year old. AD and Clay are the fakest couple, I agree. They haven’t spent any time on Johnny and his girl. The middle school principal at age 25 is kinda crazy to me. They seem like good people and rooting for them.
Jeramy definitely comes off as the type of dude who would correct you constantly. Jimmy just doesn’t seem like a person with depth to him and he’s afraid of conversations that get deep. Basically he went for Chelsea because she said that she was a flight attendant that looked like Megan Fox and enjoys Coors Light. Bro you could find that kind of individual on Hinge (I’m calling bullshit on him never using dating apps btw). 25 year old middle school principal screams charter school or Teach for America to me.
What Jimmy doesn't realize , is he's still probably better off with Chelsea than Jessica. Agreed on the charter school take....I thought about that too.
He might be the type that swears off the show because he thinks he got a bad edit. Amber was attractive but her personality and using a lot of catchy millennial lingo annoyed me. Weirdly enough, the prettiest girl this season (Jessica) had some depth and real-life experiences to her. I was ready to cast her off as another wannabe housewife type and she actually came with some hard truths about her life.
You think? It's clear the conversation about her having a kid scared him off. On top of that, she mentioned her broken home. So yeah, he's probably not built to jump through those hoops. Chelsea just screams insecure in the worst way to me. Im also not shocked that she's a flight attendant with her attitude.
Yeah, I don't think either of them are great catches I guess. Jessica got crazier and crazier with each episode, culminating with the epi pen rant. I told my wife "There's a 100% chances she's brought back in a bikini at some point to mess with things" and sure enough in the preview for future episodes she walks out in a bathing suit at some point.
