Fair, rephrase to keep me from scanning through a double-digit page thread: is the FaWS thread A) full of nearly unanimous praise from users with a small handful of people who disliked it, B) more of a 50-50 of meh and praise, or C) a minority loved it and the majority thought it was okay or didn't get very into it?
I loved Falcon and Winter Soldier but I’m also a sucker for all things Captain America so I’m a bit biased
I did too and not reading the comics it was the one show that most resembled the movies to me. There was plenty of action, solid characters and plenty of newer or deeper digging into characters (Zemo, Sharon Carter, Isaiah Bradley, etc) I think in the end of the day it comes down to like I think someone here said moving forward the MCU will have three kind of different tracks moving forward. The multiverse, space, and land based characters and movies. It depends on what you like that adjusts how you will rate those shows and movies moving forward.
O.B. is great. Kinda sad they fixed the time slipping, that could a been a cool thing to do all season, but I guess they just had to fix the issue of Mobius not knowing him.
that was a great episode but no matter how good it was, please do not watch the directors' latest movie Something In The Dirt it is legit one of the worst movies you will ever watch
They went from confusing, to explaining it, to over explaining it and then re confusing everyone somehow in one episode. Still enjoyed it tho.
I like the way they showed that the past events ripple into the present as they happen in the past relative to Loki personal timeline. Felt very Bill and Ted
So first watch I thought Slyvie landing in New Asgard was just an Easter egg, it still probably is. But on rewatch I noticed that the McDonalds had a Yggdrasil-like tree on the wall as she walked in.
Easter Egg hunters figured out the podcast Casey is listening to is the same one Steven listens to in episode 1 of Moon Knight.
This is a very good way to putting it. Just a very weird episode. We're two episodes in and I have no clue who is fighting for what or even what the stakes are other than the TVA is about to blow up unless my guy OB can work some things out and I don't know if the TVA blowing up would be good or bad. Or what Sylvie is so mad at Loki about considering she got what she wanted. The whole interrogation stuff was weird and they got mad for no reason and then they ate pie and it was suddenly all good so Loki tortured a guy.
HA!!! Rewatching and there is a Kingo poster on the side of the movie theater. They had them in GotG as well.
I don’t know if they do anything with it but everyone in this McDonalds is an Asgardian, I’m 100% convinced.
My theory. Ms Minutes is Ravonna’s consciousness and she’s been running everything for the TVA. When Kang rebranded the TVA and wiped everyone’s memories I think he uploaded hers into the MM avatar to keep everything running. Why did he rebrand and mind wipe everyone? Who knows
They found this as well in episode 2. My guess is someone that worked on MK is working on this as well and they’re having fun with this stuff. Spoiler
Ok. So my best guess at what’s happening and I’m no doubt 100% wrong. All the junk on the left side of the Loom is all of the timelines we saw in NWH and MoM. Kang, Ravonna, and OB build the Loom and the TVA. Maybe this is how He Who Remains won the time war versus the other Kangs? We know Ravonna is a tech genius and it’s clear OB is as well. Something happened between Kang-Ravonna that caused the fall out (maybe it’s a mirror of Kang-Wasp in AM-Q and she learns they’re actually killing all the other timelines). Kang wipes her mind, creates Ms Minutes to run things, creates the time keepers and that’s the TVA we saw in season 1. Maybe the mystery person behind the scenes (the one who pruned Loki in ep1) is a now fully understanding Ravonna trying to right her previous wrongs? Don’t know what Lysa Arryn’s story is. Is she a Kang loyalist who’s memory wasn’t washed? Is she being manipulated by MM/Kang/Ravonna etc? All I know is she sucks. One thing that just popped in my head. We know they go and spy on Victor Timely. Maybe that’s where OB is from? Maybe he was one of the citizen geniuses that lived in Timely and Kang plucked him out to help build the TVA? No clue what OBs story is so far.
Really enjoyed the first two episodes. Lot of fun. Have no interest in hypothesizing the formation of the TVA but it’s pretty clear the “bad guy” is Kang and the primary goal of the season at this point is keeping 1000s of Kangs from destroying the TVA I’m not sure how that’s confusing at this point Loki has said it like 5 times to different people…
While I agree they’ve made that clear, nothing Loki and Mobius have done have had anything to do with that through two episodes.
I don’t know that shit shows ever been built on having a singular bad guy that’s getting chased for an entire season. Feel like they did a lot before “going after the bad guy” Sylvie in season 1 as well. This season would be pretty weak if the first 4-5 episodes were all preparing for the Kangfest that’s coming.
Oh cool. Heard on a nerd cast that the guy that buys the loom is the first criminal that the original human torch catches. (The original torch was an android that Timely built, it’s in an Easter egg in Cap 1). Also, heard that if you pay attention when Ravonna and MM arrive in Chicago it’s the sacred timeline but when Loki and Mobe get there it’s a branched timeline. Leading theory is that HWR planted variants in the sacred timeline that MM could go and “awaken” to return to the TVA to run it in case he was killed.
