He was a really good shithead in Gone Girl and Run All Night. I haven’t read the novel but I think Mansell is a much more complex character than Boon.
This is pretty fucking good and I’m drunk so I’m going to watch as much of season 2 of justified as I can before I pass out mags is a great villain
Im doing a rewatch at the moment too and I very much love the whole bit about Dewey impersonating Raylan to rob the stick up men and recycling “If I were you, I’d cut out all this oxy (Nazi) shit and go back to poaching gators.” That and the eyewitness laughing and say oh god no when Raylan asks if he’s the man she saw earlier.
Episode 2 of Primeval was awesome. I think it had better pacing than the first and it was nice to see another layer to everyone. Nobody will ever top Boyd but I think Mansell is gonna skyrocket up the list of Justified villains. He’s got a sort of psychopathic swagger that’s the flip side of Raylan’s coin. It was also nice to see the angriest man Winona has ever met finally come out after being sort of reserved for the first 90 minutes.

He’s a far right evangelical now. He’s starting a faith based production company. He did a left behind movie with Kevin Sorbo so looks like he’s taking that Kirk Cameron route now.
Watched first few episodes of the new show and that made me go back and restart from the beginning. So fucking good.
I’ve reached season 5 on my rewatch. Season 4 might be my second favorite season. The Drew Thompson stuff is great and Colt was a great character.

Been doing a rewatch myself of late and just came across this season early in s3. Two location scenes that always knocked it out of the park were Raylan/Body prison visits and Raylan/Tim sitting in the car. The show was amazing but still could have used at least 200% more Tim.
Absolutely agree. It’s probably why I’m partial to Colt bc he’s a great foil to Tim. I also love anytime Art’s asks Tim about his PTSD and Tim’s like oh it’s under control as long as I’m not around firearms or heavy gunfire.
