enjoyed it, but for a penultimate episode (of the entire series, no less)? yeah, not what i was hoping for. next week looks great though. sad its over
I have felt all season that Raylan wasn't going to get out of Harlan alive. I felt good about that prediction all the way until he let Boyd go to save Bob. I think Bob brought Raylan back right before he crossed the point of no return. I am guessing he lives but turns in his badge before heading to FL. If it ends up like that, I think it's interesting that Boyd ultimately saved Raylan by not killing Bob . During that night time showdown with Boyd, Raylan was definitely as dark and full of hatred as any other show's protagonist. The response to Boyd's line about his daughter was chilling.
Just hope they kill the dork with the hat in the first 10 minutes of the finale. Wtf were they thinking casting that guy as a gun fighter.
Raylan lives Wynn makes out with the money, him driving away in a dog grooming van with millions would just be amazing television.
Raylan, Boyd, and Wynn will all make it out alive. Art will "fire" Raylan due to everything that has happened this season and he will before forced to start a new life in Florida as a civilian. Boyd will be chased out of Harlan without the money and start a new criminal life in another backwoods town. Like Gunners said, Wynn will probably make it out with the money and live a life filled with tanning beds and women's tennis tournaments. I can't see Raylan and Boon having a showdown- seems a little too obvious for Justified. I have a feeling Boon and/or Markham will meet their end via Loretta's apple pie moonshine(you can't introduce it early in the season then never show it again).
Alan Sepinwall @sepinwall 3m3 minutes ago Again, Justified fans who have time to rewatch the pilot (DVD, Amazon Prime, iTunes) before Tuesday’s finale might be rewarded by doing so. Alan Sepinwall @sepinwall 2m2 minutes ago And not just because it's a damn good pilot episode.
^ just came to post that. I doubt I'll have time to watch the pilot or the patience to wait to watch the finale until I do.
Lots of loose ends to tie up. I think Raylan ultimately makes it out OK. Having him die after the episode with Wynona and his daughter doesn't really fit the MO of this show. Dark things happen this show but ultimately it isn't a dark show. I can't see Wynn doing anything other than making it out with the money in the dog van. If there's ever a spin off of this show it's clearly about him.
Watched the pilot last night. Amazing how far the characters have come. Boyd especially. He didn't have that charm yet. I assume the key to the pilot is Raylan telling Boyd he would have no problem shooting him Raylan getting called put by Art for not killing Boyd The conversation with Wynona about Raylan being the angriest man she knows and admitting he would have killed Tommy Bucks no matter what
I'm sure this is common knowledge but Boyd was supposed to die early in S1. Walter Goggins was so good them decided to keep him around.
No way. The writers have done everything within reason this season to make him unlikeable. They are getting the audience ready.
Any way Raylan loses to Boyd this time around and Harlan plunges back into the criminals hands? They are setting up for everything Raylan broke apart to be set back up the way it was. Would be a pretty shocking finale
Harlan is always going to be run my some criminal/outfit regardless of what happens to Raylan. By process of elimination, I think they are setting Loretta up to be the one who takes over after Markham and Boon are killed(Markham by Raylan, Boon by Loretta).
It seems like just yesterday I was watching previews for a show I thought looked good. Time flies and I am seriously sad to see such a cool show end. I've watched the pilot a few times will probably watch again right before the finale.
I feel the same way. I watched Breaking Bad from the pilot as well. And I kinda got pissed at how popular BB got by the end of its run. Like I watched something week in and week out and was so invested with the story and characters that I hated people who were the "Johnny Come-Lately Binge Watchers" of the show that I was on since day one. I love how this show doesn't have that. It's just (for the most part) original fans. And yes, I realize how silly that all sounds.
Welcome to the world of a Game of Thrones bookfag who has almost 20 years invested in something someone else is going to finish.
boyd crowder is one of my favorite characters in television history the job goggins has done and the dialogue the writers give him is just exceptional i could watch an episode where it's just raylan and boyd talking. the chemistry is first class
I hope we will see Goggins and Olyphant on TV again in the near future. I the shield worth watching? What is Goggins' roll in it?
