The 24-25 KY men’s basketball team will truly be a scrappy bunch. Very cerebral players, hard workers, first to the gym last to leave type guys, most were coaches’ sons.
I’d rather have 5 heart players that want to be here than 5 star future lottery pick players that are just looking for a payday!
It's an easy message to make fun of, but there's a nugget of truth. Teams comprised largely of highly skilled one-and-done's have not fared well recently, and Kentucky will likely be getting off that treadmill. Might as well rip the band-aid off. The transition to team building will be ugly, and the mouth-breathing element of the KY fan base (that is, the entire KY fan base) will not be happy.
Cal acknowledged this recently either he changes and mixes lottery picks with 22 year olds or he doesn’t and the hogs win 22+ games and make the tournament and probably have a couple of sweet 16s mixed with losing in the first round that’s fine at least the team is interesting. It wasn’t for a really long fucking time
wait til you learn the team that lost to St. Peters featured four juniors and two seniors in its top 8 guys.
The old people who buy up all the good seats and season tickets don’t have the energy to make noise unless it’s something really good and well they haven been given may of the opportunities over the last few years
Befriend old person with premium tix take their tickets get to watch games courtside and act like a loud idiot (Just keep them off scooters outside the stadium)
You don’t even have to befriend them. Just post on the same niche internet message board and give him a few likes on occasion
I don’t think it applies to basketball. Of the SEC transfers I can remember - I dont think they sat out. Brazile, Wheeler, KD ect
