americans not jumping at terrible moves to the premier league any chance they get challenge: impossible
So on the positive side, maybe Turner can be a good influence on him. He also probably plays in that line-up, but I am not sure where. Would be absolutely devastating if they get relegated though.
Reports in France saying Marseille want him as well. Would much prefer he goes there as opposed to the prem. But something tells me that won’t happen.
Ornstein saying villa may have to sell Jacob Ramsey for ffp reasons. If so the entire system is broken
Posh chairman had an interesting idea and proposed that signings from the efl wouldn’t count towards ffp expenditures Thought that was interesting
System's been broken, but the FA's attempts to curb irresponsible spending & correct, seem to have unintended consequences. They can't manage to copy the continent & get VAR right, so I have zero hope here
It’s mostly fucked because it’s based on revenue. So city have no cap because they make up fake sponsorships and the rest of the sky 6 are at a huge advantage because of revenue. Like I think spurs match day revenue was something like 10x villas. So spurs went into massive debt to build a stadium and because of that they can spend a bunch more? I don’t know what the answer is. A salary cap to artificially reduce spending to put money in owners pockets isn’t the answer no clue
that seems like a good way to spread the wealth throughout the pyramid. Probably need some more safeguards (like player must have been within the EFL for x number of years), but the concept is decent. while we’re at it, sales to the Saudi league should be marked down 80% for FFP accounting purposes.
Newcastle is apparently interested in Ramsey according to Ornstein. But they’re in FFP hell so it means nothing.
I’m sure Daniel Levy, the master negotiator who knows everything, had a loose plan drawn on a napkin with crayons when he built the stadium. Just kinda took a wild swing, financially. Certainly not a thought through or sustainable business model or anything. Clearly the better alternative was to ignore revenue and consistently flirt with going into the red via the transfer market.
