yes, i am ready for that. i say that now but my first experience will probably throw me off quite a bit. i have enjoyed forensics for as long as can remember. back since elementary school i can remember locking myself in my room to protect myself and turning on forensic files for hours.
Watched a Most Evil on a guy that did something like that except it was a trailer in Arizona where he had it set up as his sex torture room. He tortured them before killing them but some chick got out and ran away into the desert, found a car, and eventually got cops back there and caught the guy. Most Evil is another great show on serial killers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Most_Evil
especially considering he buried children and they still haven't found some of the bodies that he claims to have murdered.
IIRC, there was something on the local news that was talking about having found a potential site the other day for more bodies. Also, no one knows where Gacy's body is buried. Or so it seems.
Need to mention HH Holmes. If you haven't read The Devil in the White City, do - it's fantastic. Holmes was a sick fuck, with his hotel/torture chamber.
Holy shit: 1. Gilles de Rais, Born 1404 [Crimelibrary] Gilles de Rais (a French nobleman) is considered to be the precursor to the modern serial killer. Before he began his killing spree, he rode as a military captain in the army lead by St Joan of Arc – though it is unlikely that she knew him. He was accused and ultimately convicted of torturing, raping and murdering dozens, if not hundreds, of young children, mainly boys. According to surviving accounts, Rais lured children, mainly young boys who were blond haired and blue eyed (as he had been as a child), to his residences, and raped, tortured and mutilated them, often ejaculating, perhaps via masturbation, over the dying victim. He and his accomplices would then set up the severed heads of the children in order to judge which was the most fair. The precise number of Rais’s victims is not known, as most of the bodies were burned or buried. The number of murders is generally placed between 80 and 200; a few have conjectured numbers upwards of 600. The victims ranged in age from six to eighteen and included both sexes. Although Rais preferred boys, he would make do with young girls if circumstances required. At the transcript of the trial, one of Gilles servants Henriet (an accomplice to his crimes) described the actions of his master, which were essentially: Henriet soon began to collect children for his master, and was present whilst he massacred them. They were murdered invariably in one room at Machecoul. The marshal used to bathe in their blood; he was fond of making Gilles do Sillé, Pontou, or Henriet torture them, and he experienced intense pleasure in seeing them in their agonies. But his great passion was to welter in their blood. His servants would stab a child in the jugular vein, and let the blood squirt over him. The room was often steeped in blood. When the horrible deed was done, and the child was dead, the marshal would be filled with grief for what he had done, and would toss weeping and praying on a bed, or recite fervent prayers and litanies on his knees, whilst his servants washed the floor, and burned in the huge fireplace the bodies of the murdered children. With the bodies were burned the clothes and everything that had belonged to the little victims. An insupportable odour filled the room, but the Maréchal do Retz inhaled it with delightImages: Castle of Machecoul
Holy fuck. There's a reason I quit watching shows like that. Made me lose faith in humanity. I need to go watch care bears or make a blanket fort or something now.
My ex-girlfriend's brother had an interesting book about serial killers that I read. It had bios and descriptions of their known crimes for many serial killers. The one that stood out the most was the guy who stuck rose stems up his Urethera! I think it was that sicko Albert Fish.
I hate sounding creepy but I could read or watch shows about serial killers all day. They are so damn fascinating.
Robert Ben Rhoades http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/blog/tag/robert-ben-rhoades/index.html Btw there is a thread on reddit today with pics of serial killers victims right before they killed them. Proceed with caution: http://imgur.com/a/T1k2V
I was similar to you in being fascinated by serial killers and loved forensic files. I got a little too deep into it and found some sites that have pics of the victims from notorious crimes. Decided dead bodies are too disgusting. Don't judge me. Enter at your own risk. http://vanessawest.tripod.com/crimescenephotos.html
So is this why you've taken such a liking to them? Spoiler ok reading the rest of the thread now so if someone already made the devine fucks his mom joke than just
Watched that one too. There was a marathon or something of most evils I watched one day after having knee surgery. I felt dirty after watching all that shit
I know a guy who interrogated Ted Bundy and also caught this fucking thundercunt. http://www.clarkprosecutor.org/html/death/US/buenoano450.htm She's not technically a serial killer (only two actual murders). Details in spoiler Spoiler Judias V. Buenoano a/k/a Judias Welty a/k/a Judy Ann Goodyear Summary: Buenoano, known as the "Black Widow," was executed in Florida's electric chair following her 1985 conviction for poisoning her husband, Air Force sergeant James Goodyear, in 1971. Goodyear had died barely three months after returning from Vietnam suffering from symptoms staff physicians never quite identified. His body was exhumed 12 years later after Buenoano became a suspect in another case and found to contain arsenic. In 1984, a jury convicted Buenoano of killing her partially paralyzed 19-year-old son, Michael Goodyear, and sentenced her to life in prison. Michael wore heavy metal leg braces and he was unable to walk or use his hands. On May 13th, 1980 Judi took Michael and his younger brother James canoeing on the East River. Sadly the canoe capsized. James and Judi were able to get out from under the upturned canoe but Michael, weighed down by the heavy braces didn't stand a chance and drowned. In 1984, a jury convicted Buenoano of attempting to kill her boyfriend, Pensacola businessman John Gentry, and sentenced her to 12 years imprisonment. On June 25th 1983 Judi announced she was pregnant and John went out to get some champagne to celebrate. When he started his car a bomb exploded and he was seriously injured as a result. John later said Judi had been giving him vitamins. In fact, she was not pregnant and had booked a cruise for herself and her children. She had also recently been telling her friends that John had a terminal illness. Several of the alleged vitamin capsules were recovered and found to contain the arsenic. She collected more than $240,000 in insurance money from the deaths of her husband, a son, and a boyfriend in Colorado, but was never prosecuted. Insurance benefits were also the motive in each of the Florida cases which resulted in conviction. Buenoano never admitted any of the killings. Buenoano was the first woman executed in Florida since 1848, and the third executed in the United States since the reinstatement of the death penalty in 1976. (March 30, 1998) STARKE, Florida (CNN) - Fifty-four-year-old Judy Buenoano, known as the "Black Widow," was executed in Florida's electric chair Monday morning for poisoning her husband in 1971. Buenoano, who was given the nickname by a Florida prosecutor who said she preyed off her mates and her young, was the first woman executed in Florida since 1848, and the third executed in the United States since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty in 1976. She passed 13 years on Florida's death row writing letters, crocheting blankets and baby clothes, and maintaining her innocence. "I have eternal security and I know that when I die I will go straight to heaven and I will see Jesus," she recently said. But unlike Karla Faye Tucker, the pickax killer executed in Texas last month, Buenoano did not get sympathy from religious circles. That may be because she has never shown remorse and because of the nature of her crimes. Unraveling her web of crimes From 1983 to 1985, Buenoano faced three separate Florida juries who convicted her of crimes against her loved ones. Pensacola prosecutor Russell Edgar, who gave Buenoano her spider nickname, says her motive was "twisted greed." She collected more than $240,000 in insurance money from the deaths of her husband, a son, and a boyfriend in Colorado. Colorado never prosecuted her. The crimes dated back to 1971, but Buenoano never aroused suspicion until 1983, when her fiancee John Gentry survived a car bombing attack in downtown Pensacola. During the investigation, Gentry told police that Buenoano had given him "vitamins" that made him sick. She was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the car bombing, and Gentry's story about the vitamins led investigators to unravel a web of crimes against her family members. In 1984, a jury convicted Buenoano of killing her partially paralyzed 19-year-old son, Michael Goodyear, and sentenced her to life in prison. Prosecutors say she gave four different versions of what happened, but that she pushed him out of a canoe near Pensacola's East River in 1980. "It wasn't an accident. The guy was paralyzed," Edgar said. "He had 15 pounds of braces on his legs without a life jacket. He was taken up the river in a canoe and basically pitched out." Goodyear's autopsy revealed traces of arsenic in his system. Although it was never proved, prosecutors believed his crippling illness resulted from her poisoning him. "A person this cruel really needs to get what she deserves," said Ted Chamberlain, who investigated the case. Michael's father, too Buenoano's death sentence resulted from a 1985 conviction for killing her husband of nine years, Air Force Sgt. James Goodyear. The elder Goodyear, Michael's father, died of arsenic poisoning in 1971, just three months after returning from a year's tour of duty in Vietnam. Despite the convictions, Buenoano's daughter, Kimberly Hawkins, 30, steadfastly believes in her mother's innocence. "She did things with us," Hawkins has told The Associated Press. "She worked a lot ... but she always made time for us." Edgar says he feels sorry for Buenoano's surviving children but not for Buenoano herself. "They're without a father, without a brother, and now without a mother. And we lay it all at Judy's feet. She did it." Buenoano was electrocuted in Florida's electric chair. Two executions in the chair, including one last year, resulted in fires, and state officials were forced to examine whether using it was cruel and unusual punishment. Florida's governor, Lawton Chiles, signed a bill continuing its use and adding the provision that if courts ever rule use of the chair unconstitutional, lethal injection would be the state's designated backup.
Just watched a dahmer documentary. After his first kill he had the dude in trash bags and was driving to dump him when he got pulled over. Cops asked him where he was going, what was in the trash bags, etc. but he talked his way out of it. Crazy that he could have been stopped so early on.
The serial killer museum is Florence Italy is pretty cool. Some sick fuckers all over the world and some I have never heard of. You get headphones that tell the stories as you walk through the wax works Also this movie below is worth a watch. It's fiction, but damn it is good.
Wow. I'm really glad Parks and Rec is about to start, need to think about something else for the rest of the night
3 or more murders over a period of time (with time to cool down) usually committed by one person. The FBI considers financial gain as a motive for a serial killer.
Anyone mention Ed Gein yet? I'll make a shoehorn outta your shin I'll make a lampshade of durable skin And oh, don't you know that I'm always feelin' able When I'm sittin' home and I'm carving out your navel im just a sittin' here carving out your navel When will I realize that this skin I'm in Hey, it isn't mine And when will the kill be too much meat for me to hide on Hey, I could really use a couple of hands To complete one hell of a plant stand Oh, and don't you know that I'm caught here in the middle Making rib cages into coffee tables I'm just makin' em into coffee tables And when will I realize that this skin I'm in Hey, it isn't mine And when will the thrill be too much meat for me to find anymore Oh, because you know I can't hide But oh how hard I try But this is just the shape I'm in, oh yeah although I know I can't hide But oh how hard I try But this is just the shape I'm in oh yeah, oh yeah
my interest in serial killers only goes as far as that show with Inigo Montoya in it and that Sufjan Stevens song after that
You are talking about EAR (East Area Rapist). He started with rapes then moved up to murders. He'd break into houses and kill people. He did call and leave a voicemail message after a break in. Theory is that he is from Fresno Area moved up to Sacramento and then moved from Sacramento to East Bay Area. As for Zodiac, Arthur Leigh Allen is a blind alley. He's commonly thought to have been the Zodiac but he was not. That being said I wouldn't have been surprised if he had killed someone. The current most popular suspect, Richard "Dick Gaikowski" is also deceased and there are of course many other theories.
I was watching a documentary with my family on the BTK killer in 2008 and my dad told me some crazy shit. He knew the first family (otero family) that got murdered by BTK. My dad's family was stationed in panama with the otero family and he was very good friends with the kids. He told me the oteros left panama and were stationed in Wichita where the two parents and two of their five children were murdered like two months later. Reading up on the murders was very chilling.
Yep that's it. Sweet tap dancing Christ that was messed up. It was the last episode of Cold Case Files my wife watched with me.
