Well the only place I found is 65/hour which would add up since I think it would take them at least 8 hours. Plus who knows what type of job they do? You wouldn't be able to blame them if the bugs came back cause it could be from anywhere. The only other option I saw besides yourself or hiring someone to do it was renting a UHaul (idk price) and having a guy fumigate it for $800. I'm a cheap fuck so none of those options are a a good deal to me.
So I found a bug on my bed when I got home from work and went absolutely crazy. I was pretty sure I had bedbugs after reading this fucking thread...then I realized I left the window open and it wasn't anything that remotely resembled a bed bug. Still, I hate you Space for infecting my psyche
My friends took like a 2 1/2 hour ferry to get there last weekend. It looked scenic, but seems like a bit of a pain in the ass.
Ah nice. Yeah 2.5 hours is long, especially otw back. Can't imagine its a crowd full up <40 year olds trying to pregame for the night out... Thanks for the heads up
Pretty cool experience for NYC runners tomorrow Nike NYC @NikeNYC On 10.31, #NRC and @Uber_NYC will send #NRC Pacers to join you on a personalized run: http://t.uber.com/RunNYC
Good Beer NYC is having their anniversary event next Monday. They're tapping Mexican Cake, and Vietnamese Speedway plus some other Maine beers. I am very excited to be going with users gordon bombay KJROD20 and jaimej Should be doooope
Live two doors down from there and routinely do a quick beer run between quarters of the game without missing anything
That would kill my wallet. Although I finally fixed my bike so now I can be there and back from other half in about 15min.
I'm taking my parents out in NYC. Give me restaurant suggestions in downtown Manhattan, preferably south of Houston and offering steak. Right now I'm thinking Delmonicos since we will be checking out the 9/11 museum and my dad thinks steak is the only acceptable high priced dining option, though he likes Mexican and Italian as well. Some other restaurants that are interesting to me but that i think would appeal to him as well are David Burke's Kitchen and the Gotham Bar and Grill. TIA NYC Bros
I don't think David Burke's is that good. If you wanted non-steakhouse, but American and has steak then I'd rec Blue Ribbon Brasserie. It's maybe my favorite restaurant in town. For a steakhouse downtown, I like going across the street from Gotham to Striphouse. Better atmosphere and food. Tons of Italian options, some that come to mind: Il Mulino, Il Buco, L'Artusi, Carbone...

Ended up going to Distilled. The wings were really good, the tongue was pretty good, the duck and waffles were amaze-balls.
gat dayum Note: I went one time and we got the steak tartare, including other items. In the cab ride home my farts were so repulsive that the taxi driver literally said "Look. If you fart in my cab one more time I'm kicking you out."
So I'm going to be in Jersey (yuck) the first week of December with the wife and kids for a few days visiting in-laws. We were wanting to take a day trip to Manhattan to maybe see the lights/decorations at Rockefeller center, tour around Central Park or some other family friendly NYC venture. We're probably going to drive our rental car and pay for public parking. Is this a poor strategy? Also, any recommendations on places to go/things to do?
Depending on how old the kids are this isn't a bad strategy, especially if you're not planning on leaving the car overnight. You can likely find daily parking in a garage for < $40, would cost more for 4 RT train tickets on NJ Transit. You'll want to research a spot where you can leave the car for the day though and travel by foot/cab while in the city. Driving to each location you want to see would be a PITA for you and the family and also would get expensive quick. That said, driving in NYC is much different than anywhere else, so you have to be comfortable with aggressive driving if you're going to do it.
My dad drove a fifteen passenger van around nyc when we lived upstate and half our family came out to do tourist things. I've never been more impressed by someone driving anything than that week. Not a single ding or scrape either.
Yeah, now we're looking at getting a hotel room by the Newport train station that morning in Jersey and just taking the train/subway into the city. We'll be lugging our 2.5 yr old and 7 month old, so it'll be interesting. Honestly my only concern is going to be emergency bathroom trips for the toddler.

Quick someone give me a East Village restaurant that is relatively cheap and don't need a reservation for. Going for a quick dinner tonight.
I get the Body Good kale salad and a side of jerk chicken I don't care what anyone thinks of me, that meal is super tight.
