Intelligentsia in a French Press or GTFO. I had a friend that used to work at their plant here in Chicago and knew the founder pretty well. He would hook me up w/ free coffee all the time.
We need this emoticon; ....for good coffee discussions, or pretentious/elitist discussions in general.
I'm poor right now so I just bought some New Orleans French Market coffee, anyone ever had this? Not bad for the price. Once I get more money I'm ordering some stuff from this site: http://counterculturecoffee.com/
Those Keurig machines are easily one of man's greatest inventions in the last 25 years. Buy that Paul Newman's stuff at Sam's Club by the 80 pack and get a few dark roasts elsewhere and I'm one jacked up happy motherfucker for weeks. All at $.45 a cup. :oshit:
Looking for a coffee maker, something under $50 preferably. I would like it to be reasonably quick, and have one of those little timers to set the brew time. Any recs?
More expensive, but the Keurig single cup is pretty baller for a lazy college fuck like me. Makes some damn good coffee too.
Do you mean overall, factoring in coffee cost too? Because I bet you could find a used one for $50-60. http://gadsden.craigslist.org/app/2242247248.html http://huntsville.craigslist.org/app/2277807240.html Murfeesboro had one listed for $40, so there may be some options that pop up.
Got a milk steamer for Christmas that is awesome. It has a two cup container that heats the milk & foams it up perfectly. No mess that goes with a Capp machine. Saves me a bunch since I no longer hit up Starbacks
know a lot of people with like a south beach or mr.coffee that has a timer you can set so it will make coffee and have it ready when you wake up.
bought a cusinart that was around 80 dollars that was great. gave one to my dad that he said he loved too dcc-1200. consumer reports gave it the best reviews as well

you can pretty much go into any store you want and get one with a timer for under 50 bucks spend a little more on your coffee beans and brew decent coffee spend more on both and get better spend a lot and brew yourself an amazing cup or have somebody do it everyday just depends on your level of how much you like coffee, but a cheap machine with timer is not hard to come by

your dad has his shit straight I don't know why people think they have to queer up every thread like this by posting gay gadgets. Obviously he's not a coffee freak, or he wouldn't be asking for advice on a coffee maker, especially one under 50. Holy shit this site gets gay sometimes
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00806961000P?sid=IDx20070921x00003a&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=00806961000P I got this one on sale at Sears for $35. Works great, no complaints, really happy with it. You should get it.
I am not there yet, but getting close. There is this local tobacco shop that has beans from all over the world and flavored ones like sniker doodle and shit like that.. Once you start grinding your on and trying high end coffee it really is hard to go back to the shit stuff.
What a random 9 month bump. I can't say how many cups I have because I top my mug off whenever it gets cold, but I probably drink about 32oz a day.
I love good coffee but I'm too lazy and cheap to procure the necessary products for my bachelor pad. I'd love to come drink coffee at your place though super
Not hating coffee snobberry, but how do you fuckers find this shit? Do you have to go down to the docks and slip Vinny "fast fingers" DiLorenzo $1g so you can get your Rwandan blood beans?
I drink two big mugs while getting ready for work, another after lunch and another in the late afternoon prior to leaving work.
A couple times, Cool Beans and Starbucks are closer to my office though so I always end up going there if I don't brew my own. Is it the best iyo?
They have weird hours, but it's my favorite. Cools Beans isn't bad, but I always thought it was a bit pricey. Probably because I'm poor.
Yeah this is me. I enjoy trying all different kinds of coffee but most of the time I just buy a huge bag of Dunkin Doughnuts from costco and thats what I have everyday.
what this guy said...however I worked at starbucks for less then 2 months at one time. I hated it with a passion of god, so I'm a coffee snob in that I like coffee houses (atmosphere) and good coffee but I hate some of those that work in the industry (mostly just starbucks, fuck those fucks).
