Yeah Jalen was still playing shortstop for the spring game. We’ve had some horrible missed evals at the center position. Guys feel overmatched and slow and struggle snapping bc they’re worried about getting beat

Yea every class can't be the GOAT class. 4 first rounders and 8 other solid players is still a very very good class. The downfall was 2 bad coordinators for a few years and then a center that couldn't snap the ball imo.

 

The coordinators helped, but we started having a lot of mis evaluations, and or losing guys elsewhere

 

Agree, mainly at WR. Overall I stand by four 1st round picks and 8 more starters is still a damn good class. Portal cost us depth but everyone deals with that now.

 

Looking over mock drafts, we had Maye committed at one point, and could have had Brian Thomas but we passed, how much better do you think we would’ve been with both?

 

Not sure what your point is? If you're saying the downfall is bc every class wasn't 2017, well yea but we won a lot of titles without 2017 level classes too. 2017 isn't happening often, if ever, again. The 2021 class was a great class.

 

Processing fratty white OL in year 1. Saban didn't get to that with Tyler Love until later. I think CDB is ahead of the curve.
