I know they don’t join until this summer but he may not be eligible to play for another SEC team next year.
Depending on who Bill pulls out of the portal, no. Also, KU loves players that aren't good defenders.
No brainer Surtain's fifth-year option will produce an increase in base pay of more than $13 million, jumping from $6.6 million to $19.8 million. It's a hefty increase, but provides Denver with protection against potentially losing Surtain in free agency after the 2024 season, as well as time to work on a long-term deal.
I mean how is it any different than rec specs of nose protector. That or one of those bubbles they put on football helmets in practice
OC Nick Sheridan visited with Keelon Russell at Duncanville (TX) High School on Tuesday afternoon. The Alabama staff has been in pretty consistent contact with the four-star SMU QB commit and it was (I believe) the first stop for Sheridan this week. Russell told me the conversation went great and Coach Sheridan is “the man.” A visit is likely at this point. Hoping to get some more thoughts soon from the No. 7 QB in the country. https://247sports.com/player/keelon-russell-46137983/

mac92 said: Really think we have a good chance of being preseason number 1 If we do take it has nothing to do with mark at all. Doesn’t mean he isn’t coming back
If we add Philon and Cliff with the last 2 and Sears comes back to play more off ball.......... My gawd
Whenever I see Philon I think of the kid from Arkansas that we last minute grey shirted that caused so much self righteous outrage amongst TMB hater dorks
I thought the same thing but I hated that and we did it for some nobody like Korren Kirven. And some asshole recruiting douche posted a pick of Darius Philon crying in the hallway. It was what it was, but it still sucked.
With the talk of Pete, here’s a late April “what if” for yall: What if Pruitt didn’t leave for a HC job? Not just he doesn’t leave for Tennessee, say he doesn’t leave at all. Don’t think Saban would have run him off. So, gotta think we’d have won at least one more title than we did without him, and probably multiple. His defenses were 1st in ppg in both seasons as DC. Since he left, we’ve finished 12th, 13th, 13th, 18th, 9th, and 16th. And what if he had stayed and won 3 or 4 titles (or more, let’s be honest) as DC? Would he have been a real candidate to take the reins when Saban retired? I don’t think so, but figure there would have been tons of support from a big faction of fans.
would be at 14 with our two back, two centers, and philon. if that's how things are going to go then the dioubate situation makes some sense.
We made some calls late last night/this morning and Labaron Philon - PG - Mobile (Ala.) will be in play for Alabama, per multiple sources, if/when he is released from his LOI, which is expected. Bama will be a school he is interested in and we are told it would be listed as high interest. And the interest is expected to be mutual. One of the most interesting things is, per a source in Mobile near his recruitment, Alabama has always been a top choice for him. Oats and staff didn’t push for Philon the first time around, but he did enjoy a strong senior campaign. The same source said Philon started to have doubts about Kansas and has been mulling asking out of his LOI for some time with it finally happening yesterday. **The most recent word on Grant Nelson is that he is expected back, as of now. Mark Sears is as well, but the draft is still an option for him. If he gets a draft grade that he can’t turn down, it would obviously change things. A 1st round grade would be a no-brainer for him. But all of this is subject to change and likely to be determined in his draft workouts. ***We are also told during our calls that Clifford Omoruyi - C - Rutgers Transfer is still expected to visit. We know this one has been off and on a few times and there could be more twists and turns. -We’ve said it a few times but it bears repeating: There are a lot of balls in the air for Oats and staff. But there is no doubt he doesn’t play to get caught short-handed after last year’s late departures of Charles Bediako and Jahvon Quinerly.
