One thing that sucks, iirc, is this was supposed to come out before wandavision. So I wonder if part of the reshoots fixed the timeline of this
I'm keeping my expectations for this show pretty low. Neither character really does much for me and there doesn't seem to be much personality and life between the two. Hoping that changes with the show which I'm sure it will but to what degree I don't know. Also the villain possibilities seem kind of meh. Hoping they pull it off like Wandavision. It doesn't help that my hype for Loki is through the roof compared to this one
Im looking forward to the buddy cop aspect of it. I think tonally it’s going to be a neck-snapping 180 from WV so I’m trying not to set expectations based on that. More a CA:WS vibe.
My hope for the show is generally based on the chemistry between the two actors if you've ever seen the press tour/red carpet stuff they've done over the years for the movies they've been in together. They seem to really get along and are pretty funny together. Hoping that comes across on screen more now that Cap is gone.
Honestly, I love what Feige is doing with all these different series on Disney+. At least the concept. Each one is going to have its own tone. F&WS is going to be a completely different show than WandaVision. And I am sure Loki will be completely different than F&WS. Feels like it is going to keep everything fresh. Oh, and I’m a big fan of the chemistry between Sam and Bucky. Peter or no Peter.
The media types who saw the first episode made it sound like it might start a bit slow, with more character development to start than action. The clips and trailers to this point look very generic and broadcast TV-level to me, which I'm hoping is just them hiding the good stuff. I'm with them to the end of the line because I like the characters and it's the MCU, but my expectations aren't huge for this.
Zemo is an elite tier villain. Perfect story in CW. The swerve to draw them into Siberia, but he kills the other frozen winter soldiers and then shows the video of Bucky killing Tony's parents, fucking fantastic.
Didn't get enough of the arm and Bucky in general in most of the trailers. Think there's been an intentional focus on Falcon that throws off the overall feel of the actual show.
Everything I've read about the show suggests plot is more about Falcon than Bucky, which makes a lot of sense considering Sam just got the shield and Bucky didn't. I don't think they'll treat Bucky like a sidekick, but I expect the plot to be mainly about Falcon becoming CA and all that entails.
Might've said this elsewhere, but the one good thing about everything getting delayed during the pandemic is the movies that are supposed to take place five years after the snap are closer to our actual time (2018+5 = 2023). Most of the big MCU movies come out starting next year (Black Widow is a prequel, as far as we know) so Dr. Strange 2 will be set in 2023 and will release in 2022. Shouldn't be hard for the real time to catch up to the MCU time by about 2024 or so.
His entire plan worked every step of the way, people that called the plot in CW "convenient" just wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. His only real fuck up was that T'Chaka was one of the bombing victims and that got T'Challa involved into the conflict.
More like Captain Dweeb Ass. Who the fuck they playing with that skinny armed troll looking mother fucker?
