I just dumped all of my ebooks into Calibre and now starts the slow, laborious task of editing the metadata on most of them. I had around 100 before the dump, which means I have to update around 5200 ebooks. That being said, I found that you can share ebooks from Calibre via email. So, if you want anything, PM me an email. Gave my brother-in-law Lone Survivor for christmas. He finished it in 2 days and said its the best book he's ever read. I think I'm gonna read it myself now.
Reading about porn is so passe'. Fucking no way the written word can do it for me when Google exists.
It's a quick read, and very enjoyable. Plenty of "holy shit, that is incredible he was able to do that" moments
Im reading "everybody loves our town: an oral history of grunge music in Seattle." very good book if you are a fan of pearl jam, nirvana, Alice in chains, soundgarden, mudhoney, screaming trees etc. Lots of great stories and behind the scenes info. Making me nostalgia really hard for the 90s, and making me want to be in a band really bad. Also, no spoiler but the part where Andrew Wood dies actually made me a little bit
That is a slap in the face to such an epic story. How would you feel if I had brunch with your mom and said afterwards that I 'enjoyed it.' Spoiler
I listen to audiobooks while doing cardio at the gym, and I have thought before about putting the chapters where he describes his SEAL training playing on a loop. I'd be in incredible shape.
Just picked wolf hall back up yesterday...can't overstate how much I'm enjoying it...hoping to finish it this weekend so I can get the second book soon...it also won the man booker prize
Was just reading cormac mccarthy's wiki and saw that he's working on a new book titled 'the passenger'.
:ohholyfuck: And he wrote this movie coming out in November http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Counselor
Thanks for the tip, Earl. Just googled this book...looks good. Put a reserve on it to dl from library when available.
