What’s everyone’s speculation about what the doodad they’re making is for? Looks a bit like the central frame of a TIE Fighter wing.
Also, I am still curious who the fired security guy ends up becoming. He keeps trying to help the empire, but they don’t seem to want him. Wonder if he ends up switching sides, or goes full evil they’ve spent way to much time on him to not be of some sort of importance
The empire was basically using forced/slave labor to build their equipment Where did the rebels get theirs? It’s not like they were just flying rebadged tie fighters. Are there free planets the empire isn’t aware of with unionized fair labor assembly lines cranking out x and y wings? Where are they building their star cruisers?
Mon Calamari built the Star Cruisers and I think most of the B-Wings, and that was all after Yavin/DS1 when the Rebellion was more in the open. Y-Wings were built in the late Republic so they're old as shit, and (I don't know if it's still canon or Legends now) the X-Wings were designed on Corellia and the plans were smuggled out before the Empire took it over.
So keep in mind this is 5 years after Andor and Rebels, so the Rebellion had solidified quite a bit over that time period, and Sal mentioned a number of disparate rebel/separatist groups in the last Andor episode that could bring ships into it. That said, IIRC you had a few Mon Cal ships, and Mon Calamari had been in the Rebellion since the beginning, Nebulan-B frigates stolen from the Imperial Kuat Drive Yards, Corellian Corvettes which had been around forever, and modified bulk transports.
I thought he and the isb woman were gonna end up in the rebellion after the first few episodes but now I'm not sure
it had 130 episodes. you really gonna judge it by its worst when comparing it to a show that hasn’t even finished it’s first season?
There were a lot of silly episodes. Like I said the highs were really high. But had some big lows too. I just said Andor has a chance.
You gotta just watch the essentials list. When that “A LucasFilms Limited Production” pops up on the 4th to last episode….that’s the best they’ve done.
Those final four episodes as basically a stand alone film are amazing. If they had done that as live action it would be up there as the best Star Wars film.
Have been at home sick the last 2 days so I decided to finally start Andor. Just finished the heist episode. This show is great so far.
this time period is still my favorite Star Wars for whatever reason. I like the idea of the Jedi and all, but the execution has been lacking for me. But this Empire at it's height, pre-rebellion into rebellion territory is just chef's kiss.
I'm pretty tired of it to be honest but I do enjoy seeing new angles like this. If they never explore the Old Republic I'm going to be very sad.
I love the suspense and pacing of this show as it pertains to Cassian. 3-episode arcs for the first 6 eps, a transition/come down episode for ep 7 after the midseason climax and a 3-episode arc for 8-10 to set up for the last 2 eps. edit: the episode arcs make a whole lot more sense when you look at the directors for each episode.
Watching episode 6 now and it’s great. Has been kinda hard to get into but I’m enjoying it. Took me about 3-4 episodes to really buy in
First episode I didn't immensely enjoy. Rather good in the grand scheme of things, though felt like it stuck on the interrogation and factory oppression a bit too long, the girl on girl scenes took themselves a bit too serious
