I suppose that's true but I kind of wish more Star Wars content would get into how flawed the Jedi teachings could be at times.
her training Sabine in itself is a direct contradiction of the Jedi way of doing things. they said it explicitly in the episode.
I agree with that. I keep waiting for them to explore how rigid they have been with their dogma, and they hint at it but never go further.
Liking the show but still not a fan of Sabine training. She has never shown any force ability and shouldn't be able to somehow come up with it because she trains with Ahsoka. Sabine was already a great established character, no need to force being a jedi on her. Also we've got to stop with these 30 minute episodes. Those are fine in cartoon format because the seasons are 20+ episodes long. If you're only doing 10 or less episodes stop shorting us. We want more.
Liked the episode as a casual Star Wars watcher. Don’t understand what makes Thrawn such a big bad boss dude but I’m not gonna read about it and will just keep watching hoping to learn more.
Where most of the antagonists (and protagonists) bumble about the stars falling ass backwards into plots and tricks, Thrawn is cunning, methodical, and cultured enough to run circles around the rest.
I read one of those “10 things about Thrawn” thingys and he was one of the only people who figured out Vader was Anakin. I thought everyone knew that but I guess most people just thought Anakin died and Vader was just a random person that rose up the Sith ladder. And had the balls to tease Vader about it a lot
I feel like you all are putting way too much thought into the Sabine/jedi thing they’ve repeatedly mentioned and shown she isn’t going to be a jedi I am assuming that’s why she left Sabine during the first training
I’m in a group text with a big star wars nerd and he swears this rumor was verified for tonight’s episode. (He heard it on a Star Wars discord so I don’t but it). Spoilering just in case he’s right. Spoiler Anakins force ghost makes his first appearance tonight. Supposedly Christensen slipped up and said Ep 4 is when he shows up.
I had to look this up at the start as well. Ezra, Thrawn, Whales - 0 BBY OG trilogy - 0 - 4 ABY Mando 1&2 - 9 ABY Boba Fett - 9~11 ABY (They said 2 years passed between Mando 2 and 3 and Boba Fett’s in there probably towards the end) Mando 3/Ahsoka - 11 ABY (I think these 2 overlap)
NERDS! Break down the Ahsoka - Inquisitor stances. She started as her normal single blade then he pulled a maul so she switched to Anakin but switched to Obi Wan to finish him right? I’m probably way off
Oh my gosh. How long till the New Rockstars video to break down all these stances. Filoni loves that stuff.
So the "mysterious" Marrok was a bag of gas like the Inquisitor Ahsoka killed in Tales of the Jedi to get her lightsaber crystals.
You can kind of start to feel all this stuff starting to come together. Sabine’s family was all killed in the purge
Fuck that was awesome. I don't know if Baylan survives the season, but Ray Stevenson has been great and it would have been nice to see his character continue.
He has played it so well, I think it would be a disservice to recast him. I'm really hoping he sacrifices himself in a super redemption way to snatch victory from the hands of the baddies.
I have a feeling Spoiler baylon isn’t truly evil and ends up being a good guy. Shin will kill him and be a sith.
So they finally touched on where Sabine/Ahsoka were during the purge. I’m sure they’ll flesh that out more.
When Sabine went to force punch shin, I was going to be really disappointed if it worked. At first I thought Sabine grazed her lightly, but I reworded it and I think shin didn’t realize Sabine had no force powers. She flinched and then realized she’s just a badass fighter
I wonder how they play the world between worlds and “dead” Ahsoka? Also wonder if they show her on the other side of the scene in the Mortis storyline.
I wonder if she couldn’t die off that cliff because she wasn’t supposed to be there in that timeline. Anakin reached in and saved pulled her in like Ezra pulled ahsoka through it?
There was no one there when she first lands on the platform, I think she pulled herself in. Supposed to be clues that she stayed and visited the world between worlds after the first encounter. Going back and watching Ahsoka's face when Sabine tries to get baylin to release her from the edge of the cliff, she knows Sabine isn't going to destroy the map because she isn't willing to let go of Ahsoka, therefore no way she was going to let go of a chance to get to Ezra. Baylin is clearly angry about something Ahsoka did previously.... Also, 7 lines head to the new galaxy but and we know 4 passengers have left, wonder who the other 3 will be?
An interesting theory about Baylon I heard on a nerd cast below. It’s built off his answer to the what happens when we find Thrawn question. I can’t remember word for word but something like “for some war, for some destruction, for us, unimaginable power” Spoiler Baylon doesn’t care about the empire or Thrawn at all but he knows Thrawn’s ship has the portion of the Llothal Jedi temple that’s an entrance to the world between worlds. What would he try to do? Bring back Vader or the Emperor? Stop order 66? Save his master? Rebuild the Jedi order in his vision? Who knows.
Spoiler I think it’s tied to anakin somehow also, the emperor has already been cloned. They’re fleshing that out in bad batch
I was not expecting that ending. And I have no clue what it means. But I am here for whatever is next.
To whoever said she could pull herself in, I don’t see how. From what we’ve seen you need a portal to get in alone. I think Anakin had to have pulled her in.
