Yeah, had they put Battleground at one of the many various sized arenas in Vegas and then maybe did the next regular NXT episode from the Apex and done all the UFC synergy, that would've been totally understandable.
Sasha Banks fans were fully convinced she was the next Jennifer Lawrence because she had 3 lines on that Star Wars show
I'd like to think Ilja wasn't originally going to be called up to the main roster this coming week as of a couple months ago, because Carmelo taking the belt off Ilja after turning on Trick. Then to have Trick then beat Carmelo for the belt in front of the largest NXT attendance ever instead of at the PC would've hit much harder.
That was the same closing sequence of there PPV match a few months ago. This time Trick beat Ilja to the blow. So you could say the opposite but it’s wrestling and it’s a stupid point to even make.
Thank you for that, but when it was done 2 days ago in maybe the greatest manner ever in one of the GOAT matches, I'd have done it a tad differently. But, I'm glad to see Trick get his turn and Ilja up to the main.
She got all the money spots. Hopefully she learns how to promo. She also doesn’t seem very charismatic. But I haven’t seen much of her.
She'll definitely be on the main roster in time, but yeah those two things will determine whether she's Ricochet (nothing wrong with that) or can be an upper card player.
He definitely would've been up by this weekend at the latest if Vince was still around. Thankfully I'm sure HHH/HBK know he still has plenty of work to do, and with how much he's improved the past year, he should get there. Build up Trick vs. Oba Femi down the road and puts over Oba on his way to the main roster.
It looks like somewhere the NWA would tape. Don't know why they would choose a place so small. TNA just sold over 1K tickets in Vegas this past weekend. ROH PPVs in the TK era without even a damn network/cable TV show normally does 2K+ or near that. No excuse for putting NXT in a 1,000-seater, it's basically just throwing away money at this point. I mean the chances of them doing 10K+ again are slim, but they should have ben able to do double that at the bare minimum, I would think.
I don't know how many seats are needed to be sold to be profitable on the road, tossing out the Mania show NXT has been doing about 4k tickets on the road shows. No clue what the fee is for NXT to rent these places out but if they aren't making a profit on 4K tickets it makes a ton of sense business wise to take the free arena that TKO has. I don't like it from a viewership standpoint, makes the brand look small... especially coming off 16k sold a few weeks back.
As someone that had tickets to see battleground in Savannah, I’m extra pissed that they are now doing battleground in Vegas
Several more three-hour AEW broadcasts coming up it seems. With the results of the third hours thus far, starting to think it’s a lock that Rampage is absorbed into Dynamite for a three-hour block once the new TV deal starts next year.
that show drew 7000 more people than tonight's Dynamite #LandoIsRight #Vindicated #StingForWrestlingObserverHallofFame2024
Sensational Sherri Dark Side episode was mostly good but goddamn when her son comes in it gets rough immediately also this:
Low to mid-carders like Bradshaw totally reinventing themselves and getting a push is one of the best parts of wrestling.
Fletcher is going to be big time eventually, but TK you gotta get him some TV matches where it’s not an automatic loss for him ahead of time.
i think the sound guy must've quit before the show started or something, the whole show the audio has sounded fucked up
