Today is the first day since 1/19 that I haven’t been to the gym. I’m feeling guilty about it and don’t think I’ll have time to make it today.

An awful workout is better than no work out at all.

Last week and this week will be a challenge. I’m moving on Friday so all of my kitchen stuff is packed up so won’t be able to cook until it’s unpacked. My GF did find this local meal delivery service, that’s been pretty clutch. They have regular and “lean” options but they’re all like restaurant quality instead of boring meal prep type meals. We’ve been splitting one for dinner so it ends up being 350-450 calories each, and the cost is reasonable considering it’s $14 per meal. Might keep doing it for the convenience and variety.

Had my annual blood work done last week too. My A1C went up 0.1 which sadly I’d consider a moral victory based on how bad I ate the last year ish lol I’m now at 5.8 which is the low end of prediabetic. Hoping if I get back to eating OK and fairly consistent workouts I can keep that in check or even lower it over time.

Also had my Vitamin D levels checked for the first time that I’m aware of and I guess it was extremely low so have to start taking some daily vitamins. The past year or so I’ve randomly been very sore, I figured it was just my weight and lack of movement, but I’d guess the Vitamin D levels also contributed to that.

Down over 20# since 1/1. Still haven't had a "big" week outside the 1st week before this comp

Went to a concert last night and was able to avoid drinking. Still no booze since 1/1.

Hoping you keep 3# a week. Maybe 3.2 for the next 9 weeks before I go to El Salvador. Should put me at 200. Surf for a week, hopefully beer and pupusas will not kill me. Then back home for 4 weeks, hopefully reset week 1, then 3 final weeks of the comp and another vacation to Nicaragua.

    Goal is 195

I fell off the wagon hard this weekend with my daughter’s birthday party. Had a lot of people over, snacks, cake, sodas, tequila, cookies, etc. yesterday wasn’t much better with a hangover. Gotta make sure to the horse and not let one bad weekend derail me.

Had a similar week and similar thoughts. Had to remind myself a bunch that the scale isn't the only thing that matter and sometimes lags. This was my best week by a good bit diet wise and I only lost 1 pound, frustrating but I also take waist measurements for this reason, I don't do those often but was nice to see that down 1.5 inches since the start.

Don't want to be an asshole rule enforcer, b/c I have to play that part at work and home....but I shaded some folks in red that are in violation of this. I'd like them to keep participating and hop back in b/c the overall goal of this is to encourage people. Don't want to make up rules, but OKAY with them staying in as long as they don't come back 6 weeks later and are magically 18# lighter or something

Assuming your not super lean though right? So 1.2/lb when your carrying around a decent amount of body fat is decently high. It's working so maybe you choose not to make any changes but if it was me I'd be going for something like 1 gram per goal weight, and use those calories on carbs. Just my 2 cents though.

I've always lost more consistently on lower carb than trying to do a better carb split. Not trying to do Keto/Sub 20g or anything. Trying to maintain as much muscle as possible. At 200-205 I'm relatively lean

I'd like to maintain this through the end of the contest then slowly bump my carbs up and stay around 200. Maybe slowly work lower. to 195

I have similar goals. Your doing a much better job so far though, I need to cut the booze out, that's mostly my issue. That habit of 2-3 drinks to unwind after work is hard to break and really adds up on the calorie front. I want to get to that low 200 mark as well and then start working my calories back up. Not really to reverse diet or anything but just keep loosing a little bit of weight till I can see what my maintenance calories are these days.

The ritual of drinking after work/Friday/Sat is hard to break. I want to drink an entire bottle of wine badly.

    Week 9 - 232.2 (-4.4 )
    Week 10 - 219.6 (-3.6)

Now I feel like I'm losing too much weight too fast :ohdear:

Still no alcohol. Been hitting cals (2050) consistently and walking at least 45 minutes daily. Longer on the weekends. Lifting 6x.

I should be able to easily add 500 cals and still lose ~2.5lbs. Still around 40 net carbs. Going to give myself 2 more weeks then started a mini reverse diet and just start adding ~30g of carbs a week over the next 4 weeks. Start out with some nutrient dense potatoes in a salad. That should put me around 250p, 160c, 80f (2500) cals with about 5 weeks left here. 1 week will be surfing all week, but body should be ready for a lot of the carbs I'll eat, then the 4 week final stretch in May.

Hoping to end up around 200. That's 2.5 a week for the rest of the comp.
