I was just thinking, football has a handful of relevant programs and two relevant conferences.

Basketball seems to have a lot more.

 

Think part of it is it’s easier to be convinced 1 player can be a true difference maker in basketball plus it’s easier to believe your team can be a contender

sucks about Townsend, was kinda optimistic but worried about their support/money which seemed to win out. I don’t know where we go to get a similar player

 

Difficult to see any DT who wants immediate playing time coming here.

There will always be busts in the NFL for a variety of reasons, so it will never go away.

However, I do think a fair amount of busts in the NFL have happened due to players suddenly getting large sums of money and changing their approach.

I do wonder if NIL somewhat lessons that impact as most of the draft eligible players are coming in with comfortable amounts of money.
