I hate Donald Trump so much--so much--but part of me really wants him to run and win, strictly for entertainment purposes. He is like a caricature of modern day America.
smiling me gusta is terrible. me gusta already implies you like it, you don't need the added smile. harrumph.
Textbooks have to be the biggest scam in America. Seriously, I'm not sure how this issue doesn't get more attention? 99.999% of the "new edition" is the exact same fucking shit as the last edition. Why the fuck do I have to get screwed over in my already shitty buyback situation? Shit is bullshit. /rage
Nah, this shit is way worse. People have a choice to buy NCAA football or not. They don't have much choice in the textbook scam.
Hate when I buy a book and they don't buy it back after the semester. Makes me rage, but I usually just try and sell it on ebay or half.com and that usually works out.
Agreed, there is nothing worse than buying a book, realizing you won't need it after the first test, and then not being able to sell it back after the semester.
Try this: http://www.bigwords.com/ Can search for the highest buyback price from a ton of different sites. Great for buying cheap too.
I always printed up flyers and posted them on campus in the halls each class is held. I'd hit up the bookstore and then dock my prices by 10% and advertise the money savings in the flyer("save $15 from bookstore prices!"). except for a couple books I kept for my own purposes, I recouped roughly 85% of my book expenses this way. the bookstore always fucks you over but as long as you're telling people they're saving money, someone will not want to go through the hassle of searching online and just take your deal because it still is better than bookstore prices. I had like 4 cases where the books were an edition older than what would be used next semester but I told them to ask the prof if they could use the older edition and if not I'd give them their money back and nobody ever called.
