Maybe, except think about even renting clubs for the first handful lessons or rounds cause if they're truly new to it....not a great chance the interest will stick
Stadium course ate my lunch. Hit 17. Three put bogey. Valley course was nice and relaxing. Should have played up a tee on the Stadium course. 94 Stadium, 84 Valley.
Rory keeping valuable exemptions out of the hands of some particularly egregious mules, always looking out for the best interests of the Tour and the fans
Just finished watching our club pro play the first round at the PGA professional championship. He finished -3 and T3 right now. Hope he can keep it going and finish top 20 to make the PGA championship again. PGA Frisco is awesome facility. If anyone ever gets a chance to visit do it. Courses are incredible and the entire place is cool with restaurants, short course, top golf lounge, etc.
Golf is a weird and fickle game. Par 5 I top/duck hook off the tee. 2nd I punch out. 3rd is a blind 220 shot I put to 6 feet. Miss the birdie. tap in par. Next hole short par 4. 3 wood into fairway bunker. 80yds with feet not in the bunker and ball way below my feet I club up and pure it to the back of the green. Pin in the front. I putt it off the green, stub my chip. 2nd chip to 10 feet and drain the putt. I've never had a GIR, 2putts for a double lol
Member guest starts Thursday. Watched a video of me almost chipping in on one the shootout holes last year has my pumped and ready. Hope we have our A game and win the flight.
Had my best ever 9 today. Don’t really have any golf buddies so I wanted to brag somewhere. Definitely could have broken 40 if made a few putts. Most proud of bouncing back with a par after the double which had my worst swing of the day- just a terrible chunk when I was laying up off the tee. Is usually something that would derail my round.
Our pro made the cut and tees off around 5est for round 3. He didn’t have a good second round but is sitting at +1 overall. If he could have 2 good rounds should place in the top 20 to make the PGA championship. Hope he bounces back in the afternoon. Coverage starts at 5 so will be fun to watch for a few hours.
My friend is looking to get into golf and wants to get irons. He’s athletic and does well at the range so I think it’ll stick I haven’t looked at irons in so long so I don’t even know what’s good anymore or price points. Anyone have some good forgiving iron recommendations for a starter? I loved my callaway Diablo’s from 15 years ago, something along those lines Is $500ish even doable these days for something worthwhile?
Imo fitting is the most important thing. Then Callaway preowned, srixon used, or a direct to consumer set (sub 70 etc). Getting the right shaft and characteristics is huge
Our pro is 9 holes away from qualifying for the pga championship again. He’s sitting pretty. Need him to par out the back 9 and he’ll be good.
Tomorrow's the day. Can't sleep. Going to spend a shit ton of money at member guest so someone who doesn't need money can win more money. Yay!!!
it’s pretty impressive. It’s almost as if he’s trying to be that way and makes decisions as to what makes him look the worst
It’s a fucking Open. There are paths in. Go qualify if you’re a top 50 player or whatever you claim to be.
