I love how Bill and him wink at race stuff in a really funny way: "Do you think the Atlanta fans are gonna want to start Penix sooner rather than later..."
Mr “I just care about titles!” not having LeBron to the Lakers as one of the top 15 free agent signings of the 21st century. When the list has things like Dwight to Houston. Sure.
I listened to some of Russillo’s post-first round pod yesterday. Aside from having a good radio voice, I’m not sure what he brings to the table. On the other hand, if you had told me in 2001 that one of the shitheads from Real World Chicago would be my favorite guest on the Boston Sports Guy’s podcast discussing enjoyable movies… I would have had a lot of questions. But I love Brandt on the Rewatchables.
Running Man episode was great. I like the Kyle Brandt usage on these types of movies much more than Shea Serrano in the past
He made a reference on The Running Man pod to Goldeneye and specifically the incredibly frustrating stage of the Control level when you need to protect Natalya while she fucks around on the computer. I felt validated in that moment.
I see this thing online where people ask...aside from a good radio voice, what does he bring to the table? And i'm like look...I get it. You probably think he's just some skinny ESPN nerd that voted for Obama...I didn't, by the way. Bet you wouldn't have guessed that...but you look at the podcasts and you really start to get in the weeds with what's happening and you're like wait what? Normally I'm not a fan of that heliocentric style of podcast but in this case it's one man running the entire show busting his ass and really giving a shit, and that matters. He's watching Jazz-Thunder on a Friday night on League Pass in between preacher curls while other people are out having dinner with their families or getting laid. Can those people identify the slip screen Chet set to free SGA for an easy floater over Walker Kessler? Don't think so....anyways coming up we got Todd McShay talking early 2025 draft rankings and Life Advice so stay tuned...*WHOOSH*
the episode right before with McShay and Jeremiah he was throwing out trades for teams to move up or down. Those guys brought the value chart nfl use for picks. He responded with “oh your point guys” with such distain I couldn’t believe it.
Lmao at Ryen talking about how much of a hardo loser he was over pickup games. I’ll bet ESPN was a fucking toxic ass place to work. (I’ve never read the book)
Remember when bill did an NFL redraft after week 2 solely so he could talk about Christian Gonzalez as a top 10 draftee?
Hate to say it, but I'm kind of team Russillo on this. At least in round 1. EDIT - I did not listen to the pod in question and can't speak for all he said. Simply responding the idea of the trade chart.
He was talking about going from the early 20s to top 5 or 10 I believe and said he’d add a 3rd and then Jeremiah and McShay mentioned the value and how much the top pick would cost and it would need to be more than just a 3rd or whatever pick he said.
Have to wonder if something is up. I know he writes for yahoo but wonder if the ringer or espn is making a call. This sucks, I love him and mays
Haralabob bought a third division Spanish soccer team that just got promoted to the second division with I think three games to go his dog Oscar is all over their social media and is like their quasi mascot then that happened at their celebration
he was super high on him in the draft because he saw Malik and Fox crying after Kentucky lost in the tournament
I know that harlabob guy was making money in gambling / crypto / whatever....but I didnt realize he was that loaded
He was very early on bitcoin I’m pretty sure his all in cost ok that soccer team is less than 5m and he said that it would be profitable in second division and lose a couple hundred grand in the third
reminder that 3 close wins over the Lakers had Bill saying THIS Nuggets team was in the same category as the 2001 Lakers, 2014 Spurs, 2017 Warriors
