It was the most unlikely pick I could think of.

So excited to get a QB that you tamper and lose draft picks, then sign him to 100 million guaranteed, then draft a QB who you probably could have traded down to get and who'll be 26-27 and 2-3 years away from free agency when your 100 million is done.

 

First you have to sign a vet to a $180M four year deal, and THEN draft a QB instead of addressing literally any other area of need. Flaconing

 

The only thing I can think is that the aren't trusting Cousins to be healthy for long, but fuck me trade back and take him.

Yeah the Kirk contract isn't an issue and mostly been blown away out of proportion. All the money will be freed by the time most the young guys are up for a contract.
