I used an unsafe rail gun against Chargers last night and it was seemingly just as effective as before. Didn’t have any problems with them.
servers are scuffed so the purchase won't go through. It is a free drop, currently. But think only 1 person can call it in at a time.
video I saw showed it as a standard stratagem you unlock for 20K slips. That would be another very questionable decision if only 1 person per party could use them at a time. Like head scratching stupid. Why take a chance playing with a random that may take up the "team mech slot" and be absolute trash with it....
Not defending the game post-patch but at least 80% of my playtime has been on hard difficulty or below. If the reality is that I have to go back to that difficulty to enjoy the game again until it’s fixed, it’s still more fun than the vast majority of games out right now
We were pretty much exclusively playing on 7 or higher. Usually on Impossible. The medal gain is too slow on the lower levels. It's even too slow on the higher levels.
I played on 7 for the super samples, just to level up my ship. I still think it’s a lot of fun, and a good change of pace game, when there’s not a lot of fun shooters currently.
Now just make it so every Automation isn't a fucking sniper with missiles... OOOOOR give us some kind of a warning like "missile lock" or some shit so you're not just unloading on a group of bots and get yeeted in the face by a rocket out of nowhere
Just wasted 30 minutes on a run. Shuttle is down, we're waiting 30 seconds to revive a teammate. Get him back, 3 of us on ship, somehow dude with the super samples dies right outside the ship. No super samples for us :(
My biggest issue right now is with armor and how it damn near doesn't matter what you run. Heavy armor is almost completely pointless. None of it offers much protection at all and with the way the enemy can do headshots and completely circumvent the armor it's even worse.
New Warbond out today. Best thing in it seems to be the stun grenades. I’ve seen it used with the 500 bomb, makes the bomb much more consistent and effective.
What do you mean? There's an option to opt in/out. Obviously need that turned on, lol. Might also be a setting in the PS5 options, if you're having problems connecting to PC friend.
Cross play is selected to on but whenever we send an invite to the other and hit accept it never connects us I’m PS5 he’s PC
I know each time you hit show code, it changes; so I would try to avoid that. I haven't had any issues with connecting. Maybe both make sure the game is updated? Have any other PC people you play with, to test?
Thinking about jumping on board, what’s the learning curve on this game and is it fun if you don’t have a group to play with regularly
Some people enjoy solo/rando play, but I never play unless I have buds on. Learning curve isn't' terrible.
So I bought this yesterday and only a level 5 but is everyone running quick play or do you get more stuff if you go to and start a mission?
Each operation has 3 missions in it. If you and your group do all the missions in that operation you get extra medals for each one. It doesn’t matter if you quick join or match up. The difficulty setting controls multipliers for XP. As you go up in difficulty there are more main objectives and side missions. Make sure you get the main done on time but you get extra XP and money for doing more side missions on a planet.
I’m still only like a level 7 or so and guessing you just get more armor or upgrades as you progress. All in all I’m liking it. Kinda like Battlefield with the open world feel. Also like not having to do a ton of stuff like with weapons and whatnot so far
You use your medals to buy items in the war bonds. That is how you get emotes, weapons and armor. It takes some time, but watch how others play and get a feel for it. The biggest thing early is that friendly fire is real. Be careful where you drop airstrikes, with other players and equipment like sentries. I would learn on bugs to be honest. It is a lot easier to get a feel for it. Bots can be overwhelming at first.
