I don't like him as much as a lot of other people, I've just never seen him and would like to see him live once. There are plenty of bands I'd rather see over him, but we don't get a lot of shows here in Stillwater so I generally go see anyone that's in town
I cant stand him. My dad saw him cause American Aquarium opened for him, he wasn't going to stay but he said the amount of college girls there was crazy and he had to stay. I laughed. But from experience I've noticed he's for the high school underage drinking crowd/HS-college aged girls, so he's good for what he is i guess.
Weird. It's only $10 at the Dog to watch him, and they own the Tumbleweed now. I'm kind of the same way. I have to be in the mood to listen to Corey, Bingham, and Pat Green more than just about any of the other artists I listen to. Corey has been around the area a lot lately, but I haven't seen him in a few years. Haven't gotten to see Bingham yet, but his youtubes from ACL are flat out awesome.
yeah i guess there was definitely a lot of sorostitute ass at his show when i saw him in college, really the only reason i went. Pike had him for some philanthropy, so naturally every sorority girl at school went.
see i could prob listen to bingham any time, one of the few artists i feel that way about, prob because he has such a wide range of different "feeling" songs. agree with pat. when i was in high school i listened to pat all day, but i def have to be in the mood to listen to him on a normal day. he's still badass live, though. saw him in september, dude still jams
Yeah it would be worth it to see live just because of all the ass. And I agree with your post above, I don't think when my iPod is on shuffle I've ever skipped past a Bingham song
Bingham, Wade Bowen, and Micky and the Motorcars new album are songs I can listen to anytime anywhere.
Don't think so. Last Clemson home game of the year is this weekend. It sucks too, Charlotte rarely gets guys like that and I've missed the last 3 shows. Hopefully they'll be some good ones when I go back for Christmas break
yeah i've seen him a couple times. he opened for REK long time ago and also saw him in a small bar/restaurant. he's alright, but if he didn't sing everclear, very few people outside of texas would have any idea who he is
Not a Corey Smith fan really. Going to see Robert Earl Keen for the second time tomorrow night, Roger Creager opening up for him.
yeah man, charlie robison had a new album out within the last year or so, liked it a lot. he just went through a divorce a couple years ago, so not sure what kind of effect that's had on him. don't think he plays many shows
i haven't either. last time i even remember him playing near me was when he played for a phi delt party at ole miss like 5 years ago
I was mostly askin about live but he doesn't play shows any more? He seems like he'd put on a great show
looks like he has a nice little run going on in texas right now, but after december he's playing one show every few weeks. i guess i haven't looked at his tour schedule in awhile. i wanna say last year he was only playing 1-2 shows a month, and all in texas.of the shows listed now, he's playing 2 outside texas, one in OKC and one at steamboat music fest, would LOVE to go to that some day, skiing, alcohol, and red dirt music... damn. one band that kills me they're not together anymore is cast iron filter. absolutely love their music. heard some rumors they might do a reunion tour or album, but those rumors have not gone anywhere.
see i thought he went through all that when he got his divorce and when he released his last album he had cleaned his act up. guess not. cory morrow, iirc, got busted with coke and had to play a million shows to pay off all his legal fees. also, cool story bro, girl i know worked for the country music HOF in nashville was offerred to do blow with bingham. chick is the most innocent girl i know, so i would have loved to see her reaction to that offer.
Yeah this new management really hasn't done well with the place. College Fest was atrocious this year, because even though one night had some great bands, it was way too expensive to attract many people (the three day pass started at like $60 when it used to be about $25). After that, they really haven't had many concerts out there at all, and Randy Rogers last weekend was a total cluster fuck. They also fired the DJ they had out there on Thursday nights because they tried to cut his pay and now they let a bouncer DJ and it's just awful
Micky and the Motorcars were fanfuckingtastic. Reckless Kelly put on a good show, but not as good as the Motorcars. Met their new guitarist Dustin. Real cool guy, Their going to Germany in a couple of weeks for almost a month. I didn't think they would have a following over there
Cannot stop listening to White Trash Story II. "gonna get hammered drunk, and light some shit on fire"
They're playing here in Stillwater on Friday Also, Corey Smith put on a damn good show out here last Thursday. I'm glad I drunkenly let this girl talk me into going with her
Have to pick one song to play after I make my presentation on Pat Green in country music class, and I'm down to four, I come to this thread for a vote. A)Southbound 35 B)Dancehall Dreamer C)Songs About Texas D)George's Bar Also, my paper is about down, i'll post it here for yall to read haha
Southbound 35 for me. But that's just b/c I blared it every time I headed back to Texas. With a little less bias.. C) Songs About Texas
what's your e-mail and what songs do you need? i have the whole album so just shoot me a PM of what you need
Can't remember if Wade's latest single has been posted, but I like it a lot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gvr0Ni_49Dk Also, Casey Donahew played here Friday and it was one of the better shows I've seen them put on. I really like their new cd, and he played in a good mix of it. Can't find the best videos, but these two are good also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoVRiEs7z1o http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUXEotR0TGM
Got my picture taken with Ryan Bingham on Saturday and talked to him for a few seconds. He's a cool dude. And he's pretty small.
He was a rodeo cowboy. I think most rodeo cowboys are smaller guys. Never met Bingham, but from what I've heard he's a badass guy. Still haven't seen him live, every time I have a chance something comes up. He played Billy Bobs last fall the night before or of my LSAT. Made me rage. Thanks for helping my slow ass figure out that seddemusica site lsufball19 was able to get a lot of old music I lost when my computer crashed. The new M&MC, CDB and No Justice CDs are all very solid. Mike McClure's newest has a couple good songs, not great overall, same goes for Sean McConnell's if you're into the folk/country thing. I like the live Zach Walther CD they have on there a lot.
Went with Songs About Texas, kinda slow but it's his most popular i'm pretty sure. ill post the paper in a few figure yall will get a kick out of it
