Anything in particular I should start with? I've listened to some of their stuff in the past but it's never really grabbed me. But a lot of my favorite artists I had to give another shot.
Coast is my favorite album of theirs, and one of the better country albums of the last 10 years, barely a bad song on it. Their later stuff tends to stretch genres a little more but Suzannah, Oklahoma City, Little Bird, Mountain Girl, What a Shame would be some of my favorites. Theyre also elite tier road trip music.
I’m usually disappointed with their setlists. Seems like there are multiple songs I assume they would play but are left out of the setlist.
Got my tickets for Turnpike and the Avett Bros in Feb. in Little Rock. My two favorite bands playing together, so I couldn’t pass it up. Billy Strings in Nashville the next night. Quite a weekend.
Went to Shane Smith’s ugly Christmas sweater show last night in Austin. Other than them and the crowd being dressed like goofs, hardly had any Christmas related stuff. Strongly suggest anybody in Dallas, SA or Houston with time this weekend go check them out. These guys are awesome live, it was a ton of fun.
My dad helps book music for a venue in west Tennessee and has booked Chris knight and ward Davis for 2023.
