Right, the people that invented Fritos and the Frito Pie have been calling it the wrong thing Corn chips are a more natural fit I think, but I'm sure it's fine on spaghetti. I'm more offended by the mound of cheese
On behalf of a non-biased opinion, I can say skyline is average. Did I enjoy it? Yeah. Would I eat it again? Sure. Is it something everyone needs to eat at some point in their lives? No
argument is only bad if you think of it as regular chili that you might eat as a meal/soup. as everyone has said ad nausea, that's not what it is.
For starters, much like cheese in normal chili, it should be used as a complement; I wouldn't want my salad swimming in a bowl of ranch dressing either...
As far as the cheese goes, if you get it to go they give you a separate baggie of cheese and you can apply as much or as little as you want.
Team Walking Taco. Had a friend who worked at Frito-Lay, so she'd bring up a big box of Frito bags to one tailgate a year and we'd have walking tacos. She never mentioned them being "Frito Pies." And seriously, which one of you just doctored the Wiki definition of frito pie?
I'm not annoyed at all. My "edited" post above meant that I ended my origin post to refer to chili sauce instead of chli. My last post was to poke fun at you for that exchange. I'm using this thread as a pleasant diversion while I do my work in a half-assed manner - if it annoys me I probably need to find another diversion.
marcus i've tried it with chili cheese fritos, not a fan it throws off the chili flavor oh and team no sour cream on anything. you want something that's legit, put avocado slices on top of your chili, does the same thing and tastes better
I've already let it be known that I think this stuff tastes like crap. Can't stand the taste of the chili. But to be fair, these pics are overstating the cheese. It's the finely shredded stuff and they fluff it all up. When the cheese melts down a little it doesn't look so overwhelming. I was begging for more cheese. Anything to cover that god-awful, cinnamon chili taste
New information has come to light; chili, cinnamon, spaghetti, pound of cheese... clearly this is an post-bender concoction that's jumped the shark in Cincinnati, and they're the only ones not in on the joke...
For chili soup, yes. This thread has nothing to do with chili soup. Not sure why you southerners are having so much trouble understanding this.
