Dog is in very good spirits. The vet said only time will tell since the "poison" can take a while to go into full effect. Tomorrow they will definitely know if they are in the clear or not.
a friend of mine's parents are having to move and need someone to take what they're saying is a 6 month old lab/golden mix... think i'll be picking this girl up within the next couple days
Ours was born last July 16th so this is her first experience with them but she has not been phased at all. We had her over at a friends last night with their 2 dogs and they were all out in the backyard with us when tons of fireworks were going off and only 1 of the 3 dogs was scared at all. Our dog and one of theirs did not give a single fuck. I have been surprised so far because our family dogs growing up were always very afraid of fireworks and hated them.
Does anyone let their dog chew on/eat actual bones? Like from a big steak or something? My lab would try to eat it vs. just chewing and I can't decide if it's safe or not.
I bought him a huge marrow bone from the pet store. Ive heard you can give them cow bones only. I don't give mine any but I know plenty who do
Got a good pic of my neighbors Golden at the dog beach this morning Her ass was great, the rest.. not so much
Maddie, my goldendoodle. Currently weighs 54 lbs. She turns 6 months old tomorrow. She's going to be a big pup
I mean Flat Rock is pretty good... Cooper Creek is alright too... Just gotta make sure the puppy has their shots in order.
yeah... i'm not really a big fan of letting hudson off his leash in places like that where cars are driving around
He'll be alright. Can get a ways off the road. If you really want to get away from the cars, I've got some land in Harris County that I have access to. ----- Champ thinks all this stormy shit is for the birds...
Pup was just shy of 10 pounds when I got him on May 10th, then was 18 pounds when I took him to the vet in early June. He is now up to 25 pounds (13 weeks old)
I this thread. All y'all's dogs, I consider my dogs as well. Love watching them grow up. By far the best thread on TMB.
Sugar's massive floppy hound dog ears make me smile. Ace with his second favorite possession in the world, but nothing will ever replace his ball.
bullitt only gets rawhide, but large bones (like a femur) are sold at the pet store. I wouldn't go around giving him chicken scraps or anything that could contain medium or small bones.
Why? I saw that it was on, but didn't watch. What is bad about it? They are just about to start now. Really curious how Truman handles it.
There was a guy who collected a bunch of homeless dogs, put them in a metal box, and turned on some lethal gas. Awful, awful thing to watch with your dog in the room.
Took the dog to fireworks last night... we sat pretty close and our town does a huge show. First one went up and when it exploded she just jumped and looked like WTF WAS THAT?!? after the next two went off back to back right after she just takes off and it's all the strength I had to hang on to her leash and reign her back in. Pick her up and she is just freaking out driving her nails into my body. Hurt me quite a bit from the rope burn from her leash and nails in my side, but was hilarious after the fact. Wife and I got to see about 5 fireworks and went, welp, guess we are coming back next year. Loaded up all of our stuff after waiting for 1.5 hours for fireworks haha, on the ride home she was even afraid to look out the window that had the fireworks.
cconn Spoiler The fawn one on the left is my parents': this is what I came home to on Halloween (the wife did this):
Found this old pic on my computer. Bo busted a hole in the screen with his head so he could see outside better. Sitting in the window watching the outside entertains him for hours, so I'd leave it open sometimes when I'd leave. This is what I'd come back to. And then a random close up shot of Ike
Trupanion Pretty good deal imo. You can get a deductible between $0-$1000 depending on your monthly premium. It covers accidents and illness, any property damage your dog may cause off the leash, a reward if he goes missing. If you get really sick or something, and can't take care of your dog, they will cover boarding costs. I got an add on for $5 a month that is a 'travel insurance' which basically if he gets sick or injured and you have to cancel your trip, they will cover charges.
I think they are awesome. The only ones I'd wear in public would be the bulldog puppy one and then the last one of the dog at the bakery, though. I'll get the other ones to wear around the house.
If Truman was a purebred, I would get for sure get one and wear it to street fests and shit just to be funny and weird
I just bought our dog an Elk's antler from Petco: Unleashed.. she loves it. The people there handed me a brochure on them and it states that it has healthy enzymes and what not.
Every time I have taken my dog out the past few days a mockingbird has tried to attack. It's getting pretty ridiculous. It's actually hit maddie a couple of times
