Been a very entertaining show so far. Hopefully gets good enough feedback to keep going for a few seasons. More raunchy fun television the better
I was watching an episode and thought to myself “Golden Boy looks like a young Arnold in the face” and sure as shit it’s his son. I never watched the credits and always skipped to the next episode
I don’t really buy the heel turn by Cate and Sam. Seemed a little quick / not enough foreshadowing. Some season 8 Dany shit. Still enjoyed it, glad it’s coming back. Interested to see how it gets tied into the new Boys season.
Finally started Gen V. Liking it through 2 episodes so far, but having 2 supes access their powers through self-harm is kind of a miss for me.
We calling puking to get small = self-harm in The Boys thread or am I forgetting who the 2nd one would be? How about exploding peoples dicks
Pretty tame considering the superhero universe we're talking about (if we're even calling puking to activate a superpower "bulimia"), and the whole eating = get big to counter it actually makes it make a lot of sense, so not really a miss IMHO. Carry on
It's more that I spent years working with teens in the mental health field who struggled with cutting and eating disorders (among other things), so seeing those be turned into superpowers hits a bit too close to home for me. I can get past it, but I could totally understand someone being completely turned off by it (especially if it's something they're dealing with) even if they've enjoyed everything else from that universe.
If it's any consolation, by the end of the season and going forward I'm not sure there'll be a lot of cutting in Marie's future. That's just the only way she knew how to "use her power" with nobody to teach her.
And Emma’s Spoiler changed too, she doesn’t have to puke or binge eat. She just emotionally felt small and she got small, right?
Spoiler which she was forced to do by her overbearing mother to stay a certain size to her expectations
I just watched this and the Caesar mention and Homelander liking the comparison makes me think VP Candidate and possible head of the Senate is gonna take out Homie. Y tu Neuman? If you’ve seen Gen V, you’ll be aware that she’s even scarier than just a supe that makes peoples heads pop.
Oh wow. She looks just like all the IG influencers. I just don't get the plastic look. Gonna be interesting to see where all these chicks are 10-20 yrs down the road
Whoever convinced women that paralyzed, dead faces with artificially fat lips were attractive should be severely punished.
That’s super unfortunate. Hard to understand why she thought going from major tv show hot to 15,000 Instagram followers hot was the move, but social media does make people go crazy.
She went from being like the hottest “girl next door” type possible to a Slavic looking aspiring runway model with a surfboard of a body (that’s just a guess going by what’s happened to her face). If Queen Maeve is less involved, I’m gonna need Jaz Sinclair from the spinoff in this season to get my fill of hot supes.
So does anyone think she looks better? I mean it's her body so I guess all that matters is if she's happy.
I still mostly love the boys, but I think their satire loses some of its bite when you remember that ad is paid for by Amazon
Turned into a real housewife of LA without the 20 years of natural progression. That's fucking tragic
Not the least bit affected by that, moreso that they are kinda ripping off "Horse Humor" from Barbie movie. Don't ever remember them using Horses as a joke before this
FWIW I think that’s a Budweiser Clydesdale ad joke rather than a horses = patriarchy joke like in Barbie
