Huyang is pretty great, but 3po is 3po. He’s at the heart of Star Wars. I have had more than a little wine tonight, so all opinions should be taken as such.
I said heavy on it, not that it was there. Of course it’s part of the franchise, but this series has done a decent job of not overdoing it until this episode.
The juxtaposition of murderous space samurai bandits attacking adorable alien armadillos was an interesting choice.
Well, he's the dad of the main character. Kaz is/was a pilot in the New Republic and then joins the Resistance. His dad is cool with it all (from what I recall). So the senator has a big change of mind coming in the next couple years I guess.
I'm pretty sad there's only one more episode of this. last night wasn't my favorite but next week should be intense. I'm really fascinated by Baylan's character. the actor passing away is such a shame because he really did a phenomenal job and I think it's being received so well.
Seems like there's no way to wrap up everything next week. I have a feeling they had more plans for Baylon.
I'm not entirely sure what wrapping it up means at this point. After last night, I think it just means that we get resolution on who and what leaves this other galaxy to set up whatever comes in the next show (Mando s4, Ahsoka s2, or something else). Whether that is satisfying or not is dependent on how well it's done. But if they try to do anything with them coming back to the main galaxy, I don't think there's any way that can be settled in one episode that isn't movie length.
Have we seen ahsoka back in the original galaxy in the mandalorian in the future from when this series is set? Or is there a chance they never leave? I can’t remember.
I think technically they’re happening at the same-ish time. The theory is the space whales Grogu saw traveling in M3 was the pod carrying Ahsoka and Huyang.
They mentioned the conflict on Mandalore, which happened at the end on S3, this is the end of Ahsoka.
“That information is now known. According to Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren, Ahsoka takes place at the same time as season three of The Mandalorian. For those who are not familiar with when that is, season three takes place about seven years after Return of the Jedi.”
In episode 1, when ahsoka is turning the columns or whatever to unlock the key, you can hear maul talking it’s from scene of him dying in obi wan’s arms “is he the chosen one”
Really enjoyed seeing Hayden with a lightsaber in his hands again. Feel like he has a competency that a lot of the actors don’t.
I could see that being the cliff hanger scene, they get to Dathomir and the mothers resurrect a big ass army of Mauls/Savages/Ventresses
No clue what our main man Baylon is up to though. Really hope it’s not Palp manipulating him (somehow).
Reminder that we’re getting an avengers style culmination film for these D+ series with thrawn as the big bad
I would generally agree except that it's Filoni's and not someone from the outside being brought in like the others.
