the scary part is as great as it was the first half of the season, the second half is 2x better. I’ve rewatched it three times by now.
It’s honestly one of the best shows I think I’ve ever seen. I’m in the middle of a rewatch and the quality is still unbelievable.
Dropping the first three episodes at once to start off was genius by whoever made that call, because the only weakness of the show was the first two episodes were boring and it might have dampened the excitement early on. Once you get to episode three it's incredible the rest of the way.
the show runner is a writer show runners are under producer contracts and are forced to work through the writers' strike
Well they stopped production, so hopefully that means nothing gets done until the writers come back. If they "Heroes" Andor, I swear to God...
Continuing production would have ruined the second season bc they would not be able to make changes as they filmed. This gives it the best chance to be good. It’ll just be delayed
Oh I agree. I was worried they were going to try to continue making it even with everything going on.
So it's official it's on hold? I hope so. Just take your time and please make it as good as season 1.
I'm not sure. I just saw Tony Gilroy say he was ceasing producer duties. I haven't seen that the show is officially on hold. Which is what is concerning.
Nominated for Best Drama Series, which is good. No individual actors/actresses nominated, particularly Skarsgard, which seems a bit snubbish.
Doing a rewatch. Fucking love this show. Just finished episode 5. “Everyone has their own rebellion.” Amazing line
I finally binged this over the weekend. I am not sure why I slept on this show other than the other live action series are hit or miss for me, so this being not central to the other plots just felt extra. I could not have been more wrong. Andor was on such a different level than the other stories for me, and would absolutely appeal to people who don't know much, if anything about Star Wars. It is so much smarter and deeper and the character development was amazing. In many of the other live action Star Wars films and shows the focus is on superhero like powers to the point that it is more of a cartoon, but the focus on people and politics in this was so much more relatable. The Empire was obviously shit, but shit in a human evolving totalitarian way as opposed to a magical all powerful way that we get in most of the other shows and films. The acting was top notch from Skarsgard to O'Reilly to Arjona to Gough to Serkis and obviously Luna. The only one that felt a bit over the top was Soller, and they obviously wanted it that way, but I felt it should have been toned down. I never had manboy zealot stalker as something I would see in this universe. I can't wait for the next season. I am going to go back and watch Rogue One now with this context.
Had a feeling based on my like notifications, lol I'm with you. While I didn't wait to watch, I also wasn't very excited about it going in either. Now it's my favorite thing Star Wars has done.
For me it's been: Andor Mando S2/Ahsoka (will alter based on tomorrow's finale) Mando S1 Mando S3 Kenobi Book of Boba Fett
Would agree. Would probably have Mando season 1 equal with season 2. There were parts of the show early on that I really miss. The lone bounty hunter with those western vibes just doing bounty hunting was so good.
Yeah, I get that. I feel like S1 is kind of it's own tier for that reason. Just a great, spaghetti western season. I put S2 slightly above it because it still has some of those elements along with more plot advancement and making the story feel bigger.
This post made me watch 4 episodes of Andor and Rogue One. So basically what I’m saying is I love you WhiskeyDelta
Everything is delayed bc of the strikes. But yeah, assholes like Bob Iger are the reason why the strikes happened in the first place.
This is nothing new. All these shows now take 2+ years to make a new season. Game of thrones started this shit
