2) Get Stratton out as he walks the #9 then give up back to back rockets on balls dead center with no movement
3) Why didn’t MJ come in to hit vs their RH relievers?

Overall I’m happy with Q, much much much better than Matheny but he screwed the pooch tonight.

I’m glad that Q plays the matchups but when 2 of our best hitters are lefties and we’re benching them for righties with sub .400 OPS we might be overthinking a tad.

 

There may be something here but when Ohtani is the only player with a higher exit velocity and hard hit percent, I think everything is ok. I honestly think his .365 babip it a bit hard luck considering how hard he hits and how much he’s been going center/oppo plus his speed. Maybe hit a few less HRs but I could see his ave going from .275->.325 and OPS from .800->.950 if he keeps it up. If he ever figures out how to walk, my goodness.

 

Skubal had his TJ surgery yet? He’s unpleasantly good

 

Lefty plus a wicked change up is a really bad combo for us. Wish we could get to the bullpen but those 8 pitch innings ruined us.

 

I like Jake as a commentator but him and Hud have awful chemistry. You can tell Hud tries being more reserved with him like he was his first season with Ryan. That’s doesn’t work, he’s a meatball and needs to be a meatball.
