Depends on your play style. Each set has better improvements for different play styles, once they're master crafted. At lower levels, it doesn't really matter imo.
As far as aesthetic goes I prefer the Wolf, Manticore, and Viper. Not a big fan of the other three. Also not a big fan of the new Netflix inspired one. Especially when you lever it to master. Then it looks like season 2 armor which is even worse.
Feline: quick strike build Griffin: sign build Bear: strong attack build Manticore: alchemy build Wolf: mixed build I tend towards Wolven gear with adrenaline, sign intensity, and bleeding runestones for swords, and 2x glyphs for each sign with an extra one for Igni, Quen, and Aard.
It’s probably bc I take too many breaks between playing, so I’m not really sure what’s going on besides a fight for the vineyard. I’m probably way off, lol. Edit, I am way off. main storyline is the vampire.
Hi I redownloaded this but I can’t figure out if I got the upgraded version downloaded. It says “PS4” version on my tab. Any trick to this? Tyfys
I downloaded it to my PS5. I guess it doesn’t have access to the save file from my PS4 play through so I can do a New Game +. I didn’t get the platinum in the first playthrough, so I think I’d like to try this time. Having that New Game + would really help. Should I just boot up my PS4 and try to have it upload the save file to the cloud?
Found the save and it worked. Started my NG+ on Death March. I better not fuck up and miss one of the missable trophies.
I’m actually more worried about choosing the wrong dialogue accidentally or something stupid like that.
I fucked up like the first mission when you’re supposed to get that girl swallow. Just totally missed it giving me the mission. Whoops.
Honestly probably better off that way. In a game filled with moral quagmires, even for an early and inconsequential side quest, that one has always stuck with me.
Got to Act 3. Getting close to the end I think. Then I have the DLCs and a new game plus on death March. Very excite. Just need a week off of work.
I really like the look of the gifted armor. I usually run Griffen set, I think. I spam signs a lot. Terrible at using potions and oils.
Doing each of The Final Preparation quests. Already did Avellach and Ciri’s. Still have to go see Yen. Really enjoyed the fight at the Sabbath with the Crones and Imlerith.
I really wish my trophies had carried over from PS4. I’m terrified of messing up a missable trophy thing and having to play the game for. 3rd time to get it right and get the platinum finally. I mean I love this game, but my backlog is too long to play this a third time.
It didn’t work for me. I had to load the game up then there was a huge update. After the update I went back into the store, clicked buy and then it said free upgrade
Just did the Djikstra mission where you get to fuck up the Witch Hunter Gestapo headquarters in Novigrad. So satisfying.
I just blew like 4,000 coin on various alchemy ingredients. Trying to make every oil, position, and decoction
I'm back in Touisant and working on the grandmaster Witcher armors. I forgot how expensive these fuckers were. I did find a good money farm though. If you do a hanse base but don't kill the leader everything else will respawn so you can pick up all the swords and sell them.
Forgot how much skellige sucks. Love games where it turns into a Lewis and Clark sim with me trying to find my way through mountains instead of doing things that are fun
I just had to sail on a boat for 4 minutes without doing anything else to get to the end of a mission.
It can completely break quests. I know this because I had a mod on PC that let you do it and I had to go back several hours because I didn't trigger a cutscene when leaving a certain area when I fast traveled out instead.
I googled and it’s a huge problem. There’s one more fix I can try when I get home after that I give up
Knowing the decks they play helps. Northern Realms for Tully Nilfgaard for the woman Scio’tael for Finneas Monsters for the Count Change the weather cards based on the decks they use and switch out decoys vs. horns depending on the deck you face.
Yeah, the first two are especially annoying on that front. It’s p much impossible to beat them without NR or Nilfgaard decks that have three decoys and a full complement of spies. The general strategy against spy-heavy decks that I’ve found to be most successful are to go in fully understanding that you’ll sacrifice one of the first two hands in a stall-out; make them sacrifice as many spies or points as possible, then utilize decoys or revival cards to play their own spies back at them either on the second or third hands depending on whether you took the opener.
Btw I figured out how to do the download. Apparently, if you have the original downloaded digital and the dlc bought as they came out then there’s a chance you have issues. go to the store, go to the 3 dots on the actual game (regardless of if there’s a purchase price for it) and keep going through the promos that way
