An interesting alternative that I’ve seen is that Nora did actually cross over and that Kevin was able to as well given his power. But I actually choose to accept that she didn’t cross over and that Kevin just accepted Nora’s retelling because he loves her so it didn’t matter.
Every Matt episode is so intense. Getting flushed out of Jarden and the sex boat were equally as good
Loved season 2 and finale. S3 ok, but felt like they walked back a lot of supernatural as an attempt to be more intelligent or something, but then left this tint to the preceding story that all or most of that was either a lie or dream. So we accept that millions of people evaporated by some scientific phenomenon but we’re so grounded in the real that all the other stuff was fluff and imagination. Maybe they didn’t intend to unravel the preceding story, but to me, how they left it wasn’t as satisfying as the endnote to s2, where there was still great mystery but also great hope. Insanity and lying isn’t as intriguing as the alternative I guess?
I stayed at the hotel in Austin the international assassin episode takes place in not long before that episode aired. Crazy. Also an amazing ep, love the karaoke scene
I’ve been meaning to do a rewatch but I just cannot bring myself to because it’s so emotionally draining
I’d imagine a lot of shows and movies would try to copy those strings they get me every time. They also played a lot of great songs from artists, especially s3. Some of the intros and somehow take on me in the library brought the emotions out
That’s all I needed to get on board for a rewatch plus my gf who can’t get into the show is gone this weekend. Going to wait until s2 since I recently watched s1 with her to show her the light but alas she was another in a long line of people I’ve introduced to the show that can’t be bothered with it after a few episodes.
Haven’t been able to get this song out of my head recently and therefore keep thinking about this scene
Lol this song always pops up in my head. Despite it being the worst season s1 had the most moving music. I know they kept using some of the piano and strings throughout the series but they’re so great, the more the better imo. Piano cover of where is my mind in the later seasons is also amazing too. Underrated song is whatever 80s/early 90s song Liv Tyler played in the car taking Tom to the cult camp. Lastly I have to mention the changing of songs for s3’s intro. Gravediggaz and perfect strangers were prob my favorite
I still in awe of the Perfect Strangers intro. With any other show that feels gimmicky but they introduced Mark Linn Barker as faking his departure in S1 and then brought it back in such an incredible way.
It goes without saying that anyone from this thread who hasn’t watched Watchmen should do so immediately
You will tear up for other reasons just watch it. Also, if you quit during the first season you are a terrible person
I watched season one when it was premiering. Constantly was thinking what in the fuck. Going to go back and watch now.
Season two is one of the best seasons of television ever. Season three is excellent as well. Most people agree season one was underwhelming. I am actually going to do a rewatch soon. Very excited.
I think season one is only underwhelming in retrospect. At the time it was great, but then they scrapped it and took it to a way better place. I still think one of the best explored depths of the fallout is the high school party in season one.
I am only talking about in the context of the series. I definitely enjoyed it, but the levels that they took the show once the source material was gone was well beyond what most people expected.
Just watched the pilot. I am intrigued. One of my friends actually worked on the show so I’ve always wanted to dive in.
Season one is incredibly heavy. Never been more emotionally drained after so many episodes of a season of tv.
Binged the series over the past couple weeks. I think it’s solidly in my top 5 favorite shows. So damn good.
