Tomorrow is Luffy’s bday so they’re releasing the batch of One Piece episodes with Zoro v King finale and Gear 5 dubbed. My kid has his alarm set for 5 AM.
No idea why this kid was excited for this. He’s watched so many YouTube videos about this show he’s explaining every scene, it’s history, and Easter eggs before they happen. Reminds me of watching the FNAF movie with him.
Gotta be honest. Watching the kid freak out when he finally saw Gear 5 made these 1200 episodes worth it. It made me cry, not even joking.
Finally got back around to finishing the first season of Solo Leveling. Refreshing seeing a protagonist who is powerful without being invincible, smart but not omniscient, and compassionate without being naive. Bright future for this series.
Like with all new fans of the series, I strongly recommend you checking out the manhwa. It is pretty much the manhwa equivalent of dragon ball, aka THE definitive magnum opus of the genre

Solo Leveling might be one of the few adaptations where the anime surpasses the original light novel/webtoon. One of the biggest gripes with readers is that the side characters weren't developed, the story focuses too much on the MC and it gets to a place where he's the only relevant character. Season 1 already had a TON of extra stuff that weren't in the manhwa and A1 studio has already confirmed that season 2 will also explore the side characters more.
Supposedly some time by late 2024. I want them to take their time with it and get them enough of a headstart where recap episodes won't need to be aired in between breaks.
I love that regardless of what he does or the fact that he’s marked they continue to treat Tanjiro like a fucking rookie. and he just takes it with a big ole goober smile
Even though he should by the technical definition already be a Hashira (believe it’s either 50 killed demons or one Upper 12), his technique is still very unrefined in comparison to the others. Really wild that he’s probably only been an active Slayer for like a year tops.
