I know they are not officially tied, but cannot see the city committing to taxpayers covering1/2 without a commitment to extend lease beyond 2029.
Easily the most wasted talent we've had in a while. The stats he had behind our worst OL in decades was amazing
Going to be sad when our fifth rounder Yasir Abdullah replaces our 1.1 pick Travon Walker halfway through the season.
Adding Ridley could be the best non-draft move we've made in a long long time. He can really open up this offense and give Trevor space underneath.
You can just see it on the clips they have on Instagram, he’s way different running routes than anything we’ve had in a long time. We get to move Kirk to a true slot and opens up the tight ends even more who were so key for us last year. I think we’re going to be a top 5 offense.
Idk if we'll top 5 best offenses, probably more 7-8 or so, but statistically we may be top 5 bc I'm afraid we'll have to keep scoring bc our defense still has issues imo. If we can just have a top 20 defense then I think the offense can carry us.
The goal will definitely be a 15-18 ranked defense and have whatever offense needed to cover that. You hope that you get a defense that while they may give up a lot, can be opportunistic with takeaways. I’m still very salty we didn’t take Hutchinson.
I woke up today and have chosen to focus all of my hatred for the remainder of this shitty season directly at Trent Baalke and will not believe we are a serious franchise until he is gone.
The jaguars are bad until they aren’t. I need to get that tattooed on my forehead to remind myself that hope is for losers
I mean, Christ, a nearly 300-pound man ran almost the entire length of the field against us without getting tackled for a touchdown. If that was in a movie, people would be pissed about how unrealistic it was.
Fortunately that play doesn’t lend itself as nicely to a gif so it won’t surpass the Henry 99 yard massacre, but it was 100% the worst play in franchise history
We have very real and unfortunately unsolvable problems on both lines. We knew the defense would be middle of the pack or worse, but the offensive line right now is killing everything we’re trying to do. The only hope is that Cam can come back and someone can slide inside, because Bartch Fortner Scherff are the worst in the league currently. I still think we’ll win the division, it’s just going to be closer and with a lot fewer wins than I once thought. Sweating out an 8-9 division crown is a very real possibility. The misses on the draft picks are just starting to accumulate though and it’s very frustrating. At this point it’s clear that Baalke has to go, but we have the worst owner in the nfl so he’ll probably not even consider it.
I guess I'm not jumping off a bridge bc I didn't have wild expectations. Not saying you did, but so many locals had us as a top 5 team and going 13-4. I still think we can win 10-11 games and then anything can happen in the playoffs. I'll still take this over the Gabbert years so there's that.
Yeah there is a balance between what you’re saying I think and jumping off the ledge, but man that Houston team considering the injuries they had is not even close to a good football team and they punished the jags. Most sacked qb in the league with 4 missing OL starters and we mustered 4 pressures and no hits. That’s rough.
I knew Walker was going to suck bc he was like the 7th or 8th best player on the Georgia defense so why wouldn’t you draft that guy first but it sucks that Josh Allen also kinda sucks bc I def thought he’d be a stud.
He’ll be a really nice piece on a team that already has a good defense or pass rush. But yeah no thanks on paying him a boatload to anchor our horrific line.
The Walker pick looks even worse by comparison when you think about them passing on a layup in Hutchinson.
Baalke is such a fucking idiot. Worse he’s an arrogant idiot that thinks he knows more than everyone else and he doesn’t need FA’s because his draft picks will mature.
I know this guy is good and I’m happy to deal a sixth for him but I’m curious what we do when Walker Little comes back after the bye. Are we benching Scherff?
Feel like it’s Scherff insurance. Dude has been injured a lot of the year, and he certainly isn’t the player he once was. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was his replacement next year.
Yeah I’m not mad by any means. Obviously a huge upgrade over shatley as our swing guard. Maybe shatley can move down and play center since Fortner is…not great.
Mia saying that Trent wasn’t willing to give up a fourth for Uche. Can’t wait for him to use that pick for another shitty running back or something dumb.
Wish we had caught them with Deebo out. He seems to be their do everything guy that opened up everyone else.
Trent’s going to play too. I always just assume players will get healthy against us. Purdy is trash when trailing so we just need to get a lead and sit on it.
Shanahan basically said this week he didn’t think he is good when you take away his first read and he’s 100% correct. Some games we can get away with it when they don’t have dominant lines, but by the time he hesitates with SF it’s game over.
