For ppl worried about getting more backstory on moldaver, there is obviously more to come. We have fallout (no pun intended) between coop and his wife. And why did he get the kid, not the wife? also, we haven’t even seen what happened to coop for all those years after the bomb. We are definitely getting more flashbacks regarding coop and the commie stuff.
I thought the daughter was just with him on the weekend Kind of thing The scene where she asks him if he wants to have sex was so funny
There’s obviously something different about Moldaver. She could have been cryo’d, but she had such a tight relationship with Rose, yet shows no signs of being a ghoul; so it doesn’t really add up. Excited to see where it goes. Hopefully not too long before season 2.
Muldaver was weird. She was close friends with Lucy's mother but was ready to kill off Lucy no problem.
It was fine. Maybe even good. No way in hell its an 8.6 on imdb though. That's, like, chernobyl good. Wtf imdb
Nostalgia goes a long way. I actually didn't think the first half of the series was amazing. It was entertaining but a long way from great. Even as a fan of the story from the games, it took me a few episodes to get entirely invested.
the show's next season, if handled correctly, could have it go from quite good to very good / great. but it could also get all fucked up and take a big step back. certainly have a lot to play with
I get nervous when a show has some success and then all of a sudden they are flooded with fan theories / requests / commentary. Hopefully they make some minor adjustments to improve the show. but I'm uneasy
I kinda thought the opposite. Thought it started great by just hammering the aesthetic, the humor, the absurdity. The season finale I almost turned off because of how ham fisted the writing got. Just a clunky mess that reminded of the way GoT was thrown together at the end. I've logged an embarrassing # of hours in 3, NV and 4, so I'll def watch regardless, but I'm hoping the writers put some pride into their work next season cuz it almost felt like it was written by AI toward the end.
I don't think this show really warrants too much in the way of fan theories especially as it is a different story from the games. I think theories would be more minor in terms of easter Eggs and minor plot devices for other storylines.
I thought the absurd and quirky writing was by design and part of the appeal because it seemed fairly consistent to me throughout the season.
The whole set of scenes with Hank in the cage did have some of the worst dialogue I've heard in a TV show in some time though.
it was too much exposition and I thought they rushed to the finish line. always find it lame when someone dies slowly but manages to talk for 5 minutes and say everything they need to. let's not act like fallout has some great dialogue in its games. it really doesn't. but the show can do better at dialogue when it tries to get serious.
Yeah, just don't try to do too much. The games sure don't. It even kinda leaves a weird taste that they're trying to add depth to the characters. I get that's probably what the audience wants, but that's not really the point of any of that universe. No characters have depth. The main character doesn't even have a name. Except the name I give him. Which is usually poopcadet
Show was decent to good. I wouldn’t say it was great. Huge fan of the games so probably was more enjoyable for me than others that haven’t played them. Fallout is my favorite video game universe. Probably tied with Mass effect.
I fucking loved this show. Probably my favorite since watchmen. I'll probably do a rewatch immediately
