I think today is the last day to get the 100k Reserve. I'm on the fence. Basically I'm spending $600 for 100k pts (which is probably worth it), then going to auto sliver and shift all my spend there and hopefully buy my way to gold with spend+flights.
b/c it says it ends on 3/27. This is their "new benefits rollout promo" or whatever. I'm sure it'll drop back down
God damn it. Son had a disaster of a night going to sleep and disregulated the fuck outta my brain and I forgot to apply last night. Bonus is back to 60k sky pesos. Anyone have a better referral for the delta reserve? Lyrtch
Still have a referral for 150K if anyone wants to jump on an Amex Platinum. Spend $8,000 in 6 months, I believe. Easy. Apply for an American Express Card with this link. With your new Card, you could earn a welcome bonus and your friend could earn a referral bonus. Terms Apply. https://americanexpress.com/en-us/referral/JOHNMv0Y7?XLINK=MYCP
Nothing from our experts? Their reputation gives me pause, but 3% across the board for normies seems pretty great.
Most are questioning how they’ll sustain 3% when 2% seems impossible for others. Cashback gets deposited into RH brokerage, not sure how long it has to stay there. Still don’t trust Vlad but here’s their reasoning. Basically a loss leader to get folks into RH gold membership?
Most of us in here seem to choose cards for their travel benefits, so I doubt there will be much interest.
Same. Closed account and deleted a couple years ago. Even before that fall out during the pandemic trading craze.
Apparently there’s now a 175k offer for $8k/6mo for the platinum, but I can never figure out how to get mine to show above 80k.
Just checked, looks like it's inactive right now, at least for my Citi®/AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite Mastercard I have through Citi. Another bank (Barclays?) might have something
i had a $1700 fraudulent plumbing charge on thursday and so my card is cancelled this makes me want to look around for the best card. i've been using the Alaska Airlines mileage one as my lone CC for years now and i'm up to 600k miles. i just don't fly all that often and i'm no longer in a major Alaska hub city, anyways. is there consensus on the best card out there? i'm not looking to swap them every few months to maximize cash offers, just getting a really good one. ohhaithur don't you follow this pretty closely?
chase freedom unlimited is a good catch all cash back card, as is the capital one savor one. both are 0 annual fee cards.
That card has pretty lousy daily value at this point but fwiw if you care about the companion fare at all it may be worth hanging on to as they've made it more difficult to get (new arduous spending requirement) for new sign-ups.
just cash back, at least for now i did some googling and it sounds like a lot of people recommend the us bank altitude reserve card. idk.
I don't have that one, but from what I understand the big upside on it is if you use mobile payments from your phone a lot. It's annual fee is also on the high side. Here's a good summary. https://frequentmiler.com/usbar/ Other cards may be better if you have certain categories of High Spend. Unles I'm working on a sign up bonus, most of my spend is either on Amex Gold (4x back on groceries and restaurants) or Venture X (2x back on everything). Both of those also come with annual fee's, but have credits that offset most of it. If you want to get into "business" cards, the Chase Ink's have some no-fee cards. Amex also has a no-fee business blue cash that offers 2x back on everything with no fee.
Delta Reserve boys - Amex doing a temporary promotion, you can get a limited edition card design made out of metal from an old 747. Design looks dope, just requested mine. You do not have to change numbers. Go to Account Services > Replace Card > Change Design (or something like that) Lyrtch know you have one, not sure who else Article on it: https://news.delta.com/storied-retu...ack-popular-airplane-metal-credit-card-design
Any good deals for redemptions going on right now at places that sell appliances? Home Depot, Lowe's etc? 25% bonus on UR for redemptions at clubs is about all I could find
How long do I need to wait to get the sapphire bonus again? I got mine 5-6 years ago but recently downgraded to a no-AF card. I've been using the Amex gold as a daily driver but I'm not super thrilled with the value so far
I requested a new one too. I have the old 747 card which is black but it completely fell apart in my wallet. Hoping this new design doesn’t have the same issue with plastic peeling off it
I see the preferred is at a 75k offer right now. I have two different Ink business cards and a random chase freedom from downgrading the reserve. Can I refer myself?
I think you can only refer cards you have open? I tried my referral link so I can refer my wife and the offer was only 60k.
I just got the Sapphire Reserve to use as my main card. Did I screw up by not choosing the Preferred?
had my airbnb fall through for the UGA game/F1 in Austin, so just booked a Hyatt downtown for 36k points for 3 nights - same room would have been $3,000+. very pleased with myself.
No but don’t use it as your main card. Get the chase freedom and freedom unlimited to go along with it (no annual fee for either). You’ll get more points on those cards and you can easily transfer them to your sapphire account to redeem.
my chase referral link is showing a 75,000 sign up bonus for the Preferred and Reserve, if anyone needs those. https://www.referyourchasecard.com/19n/K5GQ1UDU8P
Got it - looks kinda cool, but definitely more of a plastic feel than the normal Delta Reserve card. Meh
