God damnit. The top comment on this screenshot got me good. I’m playing the NYT’s new word search thing they’ve got going. The theme from the clue ends up being monopoly pieces and one of the words is penguin. I’m like, wtf there’s no penguin monopoly piece. So I look up monopoly pieces and stumble across an article detailing the history of pieces, their retirement, blah blah. I’m stoned so of course I start reading. While reading about all of this, I discover there are actual like monopoly champions and shit. Seems absurd to me given how much luck is involved in the game. Of course I have to look up what in the actual fuck a monopoly tournament looks like. While I’m scrolling for my best options and not finding much to my liking, I click on this fucking title and get hit in the comments with:
