I was disappointed with the final season to be honest. Seems like they packed way too much into the season. There was enough material to do two seasons with what they covered in one.
Watching episode one and wow there are some gorgeous women in this The opening scene is awesome too, nice introduction to the pirates
The scenes at sea are really intense. This whole takeover of Bryson's ship in episode six is incredible TV
Are you watching on Hulu or Starz? I started a rewatch on Hulu but all of the commercials got the best of me.
no, it's not a new season, is now up on Netflix. will be curious to see how it does. i'm due for a rewatch
lots of pirate politicking, which was the intriguing part of the show seemed pretty inexpensive to produce too
I’d just like to say that through 5 episodes I’m glad that they decided to omit realism of characters teeth in the show. In my head canon the treasure gallow they’re planning the huge score on is $5M of veneers.
Just finished rewatch of this, but I never saw S4 for some reason. A Treasure Island movie adaptation with these characters would rock.
Billy Bones "washing up on shore" is a pretty meh way to bring him back and Tom Hopper is a trash actor who I hated with a passion in Umbrella, but otherwise the show has been fantastic through S2E5. Actually kinda like Vane now
So far he's been better in this than he ever dreamed of being as Luther Umbrella. But you can get away with his perpetual look of dumbfoundedness a lot easier as a pirate
Wrapping up S3. Big Jack Rackham guy. Not sure if that’s a thing but outside of still being a Vane Stan, Rackham and Silver I’m rooting for. like the governor too. Pretty much all the leads are equally likeable and kinda shitty. Love that about the show. even softened up on fuckin Tom Hopper at this point. Billy’s the only truly honest MFer in Nassau
Ok the Governors blond haired try-hard henchman is bad. First legitimately shitty written and acted character in the whole series. glad we got more Teach. Stevenson was such a good actor
