This wasn't accidental, imo. Prevent players from getting the full experience of portal because of bot farms, then "accidentally" release an official bot farm mode as the biggest fuck you to the people that have been the most vocal about 2042 issues.

Played Battlefield V for a few hours the other day. I honestly have no idea how they turned that into this.
yeah. its a problem. Its impossible for me to find a PC only server because everyone has it enabled. More people are playing V than this shit.

Not sure but again, I’m still in but slowly dying. Pretty sure they did an update, and this week along I had a crash and burn at least ten times, had to enter game again from the start menu, on PS5. I only played 3 days this week, during the work day. I also play when I have my monotonous work calls so it’s filling time. That said I don’t think I played more than 4 hours? Also have cross play on and in regular games of 128 BT and Con I’m seeing bots. It’s definitely dying.
I really can't think of a publisher that is better at killing their own franchises than EA. It's really quite something. Can't wait for the next Mass Effect so they can officially kill that one too. Worst publisher in the world and there isn't a close second.
Seems like the latest patch made the game unplayable for longer than a few minutes before crashing for a lot of people. I'm enjoying watching this absolute debacle until the inevitable acquisition.
I’m on lowly PS4 and I’ve never had crashing problems but lately I’ve had spurts where my bullets don’t register or I’m getting killed by people out of nowhere. I also only stick to the portal and play rush or matches with only 32 total players. I think this was probably their biggest problem trying to make a battlefield game with 64-128 people, and in this day and age when everyone just wants to play run n gun COD style. This is why I like rush cause around 50% of the games you get people that play the objective and a role in helping the team. You can always tell when you get a team of shitty players cause games end real quick.
128 was a mistake. It was the old bigger is better thought. I would have much rather used the extra power to improve other aspects of the game. Especially since they didn't really have a good idea on how to spread the action out.

Same. CoD has never been my thing. The all out warfare of BF is what I loved. That and with older releases there was an attention to detail that was impressive. I still remember how mind blowing it was the first time to see BF3. The animations and visuals felt like a true leap in technology. Now here we are and not only have they not taking anymore leaps, but in a lot of ways have taken a step back. Especially in the animation department.
It really is absolutely amazing how horrible a job they have done. Same idea as you in terms of development for features but based on how they have responded, and continue to handle, it just reeks of layers of management who think they know what they are doing. It’s case study horrible. Its 2022, the playbook literally exists, yet no one there reads.
The bullet drop on long guns and being able to completely change the landscape with mortars is what got me hooked.
Sounds like you need to play some mil-sims. Console shooters suck unless you’re a preteen or teenager. There’s Insurgency, Hell Let Loose, Enlisted, take your pick
None of those give you what a great BF game gives you in my opinion. Solid games but completely different experience.
